ZaltysZ Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 Well, I think it is related to http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=34481 and the cause I have pointed out in that link. The quick way to check: 1)Make backup copy of ..\Ka-50\Missions folder 2)Delete ..\Ka-50\Missions folder contents (not the folder itself) 3)Try to save new mission in editor 4)Report here. Wir sehen uns in Walhalla.
Acedy Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 I don't know if this helps, but you can also try this: a) Check that none of the folders are write protected for any reason b) Vista uses file virtualization for the Program Files directory tree, i.e. programs installed there are not allowed to write into their own folders, but the files will be redirected and stored elsewhere. Some programs have a problem with this technique. I'm not 100% sure but this may even happen if you run the program as admin. So if you installed BS into the Program Files directory, try to grant your admin and standard user full access to the Eagle Dynamics folder and all it's subfolders and files. You can do that by right clicking on the folder, select properties and the security tab. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] *** SERVMAN SERVER MANAGEMENT MOD V2 FOR DCS:BS V1.0.1 *** *** VERSION FOR FC2 ***

REL Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 The reason that the save\open window won’t open is probably because you have a Russian mission names on this folder and your non-Unicode programs windows settings is not set to Russian . You can try to Rename all the mission names from Russian to English or change your non-Unicode programs windows settings to Russian: XP: Start > Control panel > regional language options >advanced > language for non Unicode programs: Russian Vista: Start > Control panel > regional language options > administrator > language for non Unicode programs: Russian
BoneDust Posted December 10, 2008 Author Posted December 10, 2008 No, that was setup. I took that out and reinstalled. Now I can run missions but still can save them.
