hi there, I've been noticing some stick rotation when pushing the button above the trigger, its only small. maybe 2-3 degrees ether side of center, is this normal? has something broken? is there a fix?

I've watched the re grease and disassembly videos on YouTube and I'm not seeing any info on stick rotation or what part causes/prevents it. freaking out a bit

anxiously awaiting your responses,

cheers guys

2 or 3 degree rotation is Normal.

Just don’t over tighten the stick to base. The plastic thread could bind onto the pot metal nut. So, when you next try to loosen the nut, you could break the internal anti-rotation plastic ball.

Yeah seeing this myself but has not gotten any worse over the past few months.

that's a bit of a relief, was a bit worried, I had recently had to re mount the stick to the base, so i was worried that there was an over torque or somthing, anybody know if theres a fix out there to take any rotation out of it?

its well out of warranty so I don't mind opening it up

I took all the screws out one by one put a small bit of lock tight (very small) and tightened them down. I also have a collar that goes around the shift of the stick just above the collar nut and below the grip, that stops torque/stress if I push the stick to hard against the stops/limits of the shift. I'm also using a 10mm extension. It's very secure now, no slop anymore.

I also have a very tiny gimbal rotation. Was not there when fresh new. No way to remove it that I know.

I always take big care about plastic gimbal when screwing/unscrewing the stick, knowing that I can easily break it this way. What I do is dismount the base so it can freely move, hold tight the grip with right hand, lift a bit the whole and unscrew with left hand with needed force. this way plastic gimbal gets no rotation force at all.
Same when screwing the stick back : I screw it until I get just a little resistance, lift the whole thing and finish to screw it tight.
