Heading is diffrent on f10 map than airplanes course. Is there any reason? Mission is set to start in air.

Edit: After posted I thought it might be wind effect. Is that correct?

Edit2: I did cold start and full INS on ramp while standing still, show diffrent courses.

The F10 map uses True, the HUD and aircraft instruments use magnetic.

Whıch one should I use on ILS 310 or 315?

@oznckr

The F10 map ruler measures Vaziani RWY 31's TRUE heading as 315°T.

The F-16's HSI and HUD are showing the MAGNETIC heading 309°M

This is correct as the Magnetic Variation for that location and date is approx. 6°E

MagVar = TRUE - MAGNETIC = 315° - 309° = +6°

How to check DCS's MagVar for a particular Date/Location using the F-16C's DED

Reading MagVar in the DCS F-16C.jpg

Found out while searching difference between true and magnetic north. Pretty interesting topic which I had no idea before I realised this difference ingame and asked here!
