irq11 Posted March 12, 2022 Posted March 12, 2022 Dear all, I didn't find option to release pair of GBU-31 or 38 at the same time as it's possible with other bomb. it's not possible to do that with this bomb type (GPS) or just an option not implemented yet ? press twice the release button (for the same IP), it seems to me not future situation, because the second bomb would not receive the GPS information ? thanks by advance Aviate-navigate-communicate
Dragon1-1 Posted March 12, 2022 Posted March 12, 2022 This isn't a thing in the Viper. GBUs are released one at a time. If you want to put two bombs on a single target, just pickle twice. The GPS coordinates are always from the SPI, unlike in the Hornet, it's not possible to preload them into the bombs. This is a little clumsy, and it's harder to take out, say, an entire SAM site with a JSOW salvo, since you need to set the SPI (typically using markpoints or target steerpoints) between each pickle.
Falconeer Posted March 12, 2022 Posted March 12, 2022 (edited) Yes and no It is possible to preload GPS coordinates in the bombs in the real jet. It even has an entire page for that, however its not implemented in DCS Hopefully it will come when they add a true DTC Edited March 12, 2022 by Falconeer 2 1 Planes: Choppers: Maps: Flaming Cliffs 3 Black Shark 2 Syria A-10C Tank killer 2 Black Shark 3 Persian Gulf F/A18C Hornet AH-64 Apache Mariana's F-16C Viper Afghanistan F-15E Strike Eagle Kola Peninsula Mirage 2000C AJS-37 Viggen JF-17 Thunder F-14 Tomcat F-4E Phantom
