Hello!,

I have a warthog HOTAS stick and throttle, I'm curious if there's anyone who's been able to map flight controls and weapons to their HOTAS. If so, could you share your key binds???

Thanks!

This is an excellent Warthog profile. I have never used your choice in Modifier button, but I will give it a go. Thanks so much for uploading this!

Thanks. I find having the modifier on the throttle slew button frees all fingers on my right hand for where the fast action is. Just make sure to unassign the slew axes.

Seems left center finger slew is common these days but I always find the right thumb (on stick) offers better fine control. Someone pointed me to the Delta Sim analog thumbstick modification to replace the default slew piece on the Warthog. Some may want to consider that if they are into tinkering 🙂

I noticed that after loading your .lua's there were some categories that had "red exclamation" marks listed. Some are possibly modifiers not being bound but some were on key board bindings...

Thoughts?

This profile definitely offers a great starting point. I've never used the mini stick as a modifier either, I usually use the Stick Paddle (JOY_BTN 4) as my modifier. For me it acts more like a "Shift" key. In the past I've used the throttle mini stick to slew my curser around on TAD. I do like the thumb stick modification though! Seems like it would be a more positive control item. Thanks for the heads up on that!

You have to set modifier for each catagory (ie. Pilot, CoPilot and George). The warnings will clear.

Active Pause, briefing, George menu, kneeboard, 4 views, power levers, radio, etc have keyboard commands and require the Modifier. I think it's probably those causing it.

If you're running out of physical controls to use I've made a little guide on how to set up modifiers.

I got this mod kit a couple of years ago and haven't looked back since! TM made a really mistake by using that tiny little slew "nipple" thing, and the mod totally changes it. I NEVER used the stock slew control as it was impossible to get any fine control over it. Half the time it didn't even slew in the right direction.

If anyone is considering the upgrade, do it!

(And just FYI, it's only a 10 minute job to install it.)

After mapping those modifiers, all the red went away... I thought as much but wasn't sure. In any event, thank you for your extensive efforts in creating a warthog profile. It's definitely creating a base line for every one!

Yes, after adding the additional modifier, all warnings cleared. The simplest of solutions is often the easiest and best. Thanks!
