AdamAnt03
Anyone else noticing stuttering in Apache AH64 ? I don't get it in the Huey but when flying Apache I do. It's only for half a second or two but the whole sim stops then continues. Have more than enough RAM and a fast PC so that can't be the issue. If you had the problem and worked out a fix please let me know. Someone said the mirrors being on could be a problem but that doesn't seem to be the issue for me whether on or off. Thanks. Should have added that it doesn't happen on the ground but only when in the air and moving at speed.
ruprecht
Try lowering your textures setting. Many have found this solves frames/stutter issues in the apache. It seems to be a known issue compared to other modules, see the VR performance thread. AdamAnt03
Many thanks for that will give it a try. In the time you replied I have downloaded the latest Nvidia drivers which I hadn't thought to do given I wasn't having a problem with the Huey. This time I went for a Custom install instead of Express and that gave me the option to delete all the old installation rather than just update. That seemed to have made a difference when I went back into DCS and I didn't see the stuttering but need to experiment with it a bit more to see if that might have made the issue worse. In the meantime I'll try lowering the textures as you suggested and build up as I had everything set right on Max. Many thanks again ! "...to see if that might have made the issue worse." Meant to say "if that may have fixed the problem for me".

The whole sim freezes for up to 1 or 2 seconds, sometimes only fractions of a second. But it happens EVERYTIME on start of every mission. Lowering the textures doesn't help. Neither did installing the latest NVIDIA driver. Specs: i7 7700K RTX 2070 super (8GB) RAM: 32 GB DCS is installed on SSD EDIT: Lowering other settings seems to help a bit. And it seems it is somewhat map related, but I'm still investigating.
