Colmillo Posted March 27, 2022 Posted March 27, 2022 (edited) Hello I have been doing some tests which I attach in the following tracks. Mainly I have noticed that while the TGP is laser marking the target, it loses the Reticle once the target is passed vertically. Tracks SEA1 and GROUND1 If after the shot I apply Active Pause, obviously the Reticle is not lost and the target is hit. Tracks SEA2 and GROUND2 And finally, if I use the technique of turning 30 to the left, then reversing the turn and orbiting the target while the bombs are falling, the target is hit. Tracks SEA3 and GROUND3 I had understood that one of the advantages of this TGP was precisely its extraordinary visual capacity. I attach LOG and I am attentive to the comments, to know if it is a BUG or I am simply executing something wrong. Thank you very much dcs.log SEA1-NO PAUSE-STRAIGHT.trk GROUND1-NO PAUSE-STRAIGHT.trk SEA2-ACTIVE PAUSE.trk GROUND2-ACTIVE PAUSE.trk SEA3-NO PAUSE-CIRCLING.trk GROUND3-NO PAUSE-CIRCLING.trk Edited April 8, 2022 by uboats [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-10900KF CPU @ 3.70GHz 3.70 GHz ROG STRIX Z490-E GAMING RAM 128 M.2*2 2T total SSD*3 2.5T total GeForce RTX 3090 Orion2 HOTAS F-16EX Saitek Pro Rudder
uboats Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 far away from my computer, so if i understand correctly, if the bomb is very close to the target while you are just over the target, the bomb jitter and miss the target? if so, try to fly higher and see if it solves the problem. IIRC, it's due to the gimbal limitation that when pod is just over the target, the gimbal movement not smooth. We didn't have a very good solution at that very special position, but already improved it than before. will find a solution later. but at this moment, a workaround solution is to fly higher (to avoid bomb hit when aircraft just over the target), or turn as you did. Colmillo Posted March 28, 2022 Author Posted March 28, 2022 Thanks for answering uboats. I have tried at 15,000, 25,000 and 30,000 feet, but the problem persists. I guess because the higher the altitude, the longer it takes for the bomb to fall, which makes it inevitable to pass the vertical. At the moment orbiting is the solution. I will be attentive to any change in this regard. cheers [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-10900KF CPU @ 3.70GHz 3.70 GHz ROG STRIX Z490-E GAMING RAM 128 M.2*2 2T total SSD*3 2.5T total GeForce RTX 3090 Orion2 HOTAS F-16EX Saitek Pro Rudder

Napillo Posted March 29, 2022 Posted March 29, 2022 If you pass over the target, then the laser is going to hit the other side of the target, and the bombs won't be able to see the laser spot anymore. Since it's a moving target, they just keep going to the last spot they saw.

Thanks for your comment; Yes, I understand what you are saying, but in the same way, if I orbit the target, the laser point changes from one side of the target to the other and does not lose the signal. I may be wrong with the device information, but I understood that the ability (not seen in other TGPs) to stay on course and never lose target also included the laser dot.
