Mange Posted April 1, 2022 Posted April 1, 2022 I don’t know if this is a bug… If you use the “RTS” depress button on the cyclic grip to go down to like UHF then you can’t swap freq.. you have to use the RTS rocker switch on EUFD to be able to swap freq… Is this a bug?
frostycab Posted April 1, 2022 Posted April 1, 2022 I believe the RTS depress on the cyclic mirrors the down function on the RTS rocker, so to move up you need to use the rocker or keep hitting the RTS on the cyclic until it cycles around again. To swap with the current frequency with the stored alternate you must use the swap button on the EUFD.
Tepnox Posted April 1, 2022 Posted April 1, 2022 Casmo made a perfect video for it. He also states the function on the cyclic grip is still only the down-option and this bothered him in real life as a real Apache pilot. So it works as intended. shastasm Posted April 1, 2022 Posted April 1, 2022 You are correct sir. I found that only the swap feature happens when you rocker button on the display. It was not working when I was using the HOTAS function as my rocker. Not sure if this was fixed with the recent update. 1 2020 Rig Chasse: bequiet! Mange Posted April 1, 2022 Author Posted April 1, 2022 Yes I know it’s only a down function when you use the RTS depress on your cyclic… but the problem is that you can’t use the swap button on the EUFD if you use the RTS on the cyclic to choose VHF,UHF or FM…. It work fine if you use the RTS rocker on the EUFD. 1
frostycab Posted April 1, 2022 Posted April 1, 2022 Just tested it. Seems to work OK for me. Test conditions: Instant Action - AH-64D Runway Start. VHF freqs default to 121 and 121.5 standby. UHF freqs default to 305 on both sides. Retuned UHF to 302 on COM page, so now have 302 and 305 set. Cyclic RTS press to select UHF. Pressed SWAP button on EUFD and frequencies swapped. Pressed cyclic RTS a few time to go back VHF. Pressed SWAP on EUFD and frequencies swapped. I repeated the test using a cold aircraft running on external power and had the same functionality. No problems with SWAP button in any configuration I ran. Might be something wrong with your installation, or perhaps (more likely) I've misunderstood the problem at hand.
NeMoGas Posted April 1, 2022 Posted April 1, 2022 (edited) I noticed this the other day too. I Pressed the cyclic radio switch depress to select UHF radio and swap was still swapping the VHF radio frequencies. No matter what radio I selected using the cyclic switch, it would always swap the top VHF radio. However if I used the RTS rocker on the EUFD to select a radio and then pressed the swap button it would actually swap the selected radio. Not sure if this is a bug or correct behavior but I also noticed this. I haven't tested this extensively so it could also be an issue that is not consistent and comes and goes.
