upyr1 Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 I'm building a Naval mission in the Marianas with a couple aircraft carriers it would be nice if the list on the carriers was limited to the aircraft the carrier could support.
Northstar98 Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 (edited) Yep, personally the whole warehouse system could do with a major rethink. Again C:MO is a brilliant example. The only thing though are ships transporting aircraft, though logistics in general is kinda lacking in DCS World. Exorcet Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 I disagree, I'd actually like to expand carrier operations to allow non carrier planes, as such tests were performed in reality: DCS shouldn't be hard restricted to historical real life, though perhaps an option or information allowing the mission maker to follow reality would be OK. Awaiting: DCS F-15C Win 10 i5-9600KF 4.6 GHz 64 GB RAM RTX2080Ti 11GB -- Win 7 64 i5-6600K 3.6 GHz 32 GB RAM GTX970 4GB -- A-10C, F-5E, Su-27, F-15C, F-14B, F-16C missions in User Files

I figure the carrier capable aircraft should be classified based on take off and landing distances. VTOL, STOL, STOBAR and CATOBAR capable Edited April 14, 2022 by upyr1

How I'd go about it is with a checkbox, which when checked would enable the filter. Though I'd argue this is more useful for weapons, where it would be beneficial to filter weapons based on aircraft hosted.
