I am seeing a lot of especially armored vehicles hit by Hellfires an look like they're burning and dead, but are still marked with a label. If I tell George to target such a vehicle, he immediately scrutinizes it with the TADS, but then unslaves and doesn't lock it, so for him it's dead.

I don' recall seeing dead, but labeled vehicles anywhere else.

Is anyone else seeing this?

Is this an AMG-114K bug?

A George bug?

A label bug?

Not a bug, it's a feature?

Did you check the "destroyed" vehicle in FLIR and in TV mode? cause there is a bug that shows them dead in one but not in the other. It has been reported a lot already....

Dont know about the labels though.

I'm only piloting. George is CPG. I point in the direction I want him to look--using labels to recognize where the enemy is--and George is not finding a target, ie un-slaving.

Since I have my right MPCD set to VID -> CPG Sight (R2) -> TADS (T6) -> Zoom (L3), I can see that George is always in FLIR, even on the brightest of days. Why? I have no idea. I though George was supposed to be the expert on his station.

ok then. cant reproduce without a track file.

FLIR is the best way to find targets no matter day/night/weather tbh, especially if you dont really know where to look. Scan in FLIR, see something unusual and switch to TV, zoom - repeat. Did this countless hours in my recon vehicle 🙂

As for George, he is pretty much WiP. After all we are playing an early access module in a beta version of a game...

Since you stated the word "bug" often, i would adwise to put this in the bug report underforum called Bugs&Problems. Please note

I wanted to hear if others are experiencing the same issue, before referring it to the bug zoo.

BTW I'd have also asked, whether it were a Lightning Bug or a Dung Beetle, but I though I'd spare you too much of my insectoid humor.

I'm getting the same. George calls the target destroyed but it looks fine. Or I'm CPGing and the targets looks as good as new but BDA says critically damaged or destroyed.

The closest I've experienced to this is vehicles that have received "critical damage" and become mission killed and are burning. They'll remain like that for some time, usually a few minutes, before exploding and being completely destroyed.

This has been a DCS function for ages, though it does seem that the Hellfire tends to cause critical damage rather than outright destruction on most main battle tanks, probably because it packs a lighter punch than a Maverick or Mk.82.
