S D Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 Easy fella, before you go off on one do a bit more research. It's true you only get a certain number of activations (8 i do believe). But when u eventually run out, just contact ED via e-mail with the relevant purchase information and they will give you a new keycode with more activations (or at least that was the way with Lockon).
Esac_mirmidon Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 Or learn how to deactivate the simulator before new OS install, new hardware revamp. It is very easy and you dont waste your activations. " You must think in russian.." Well FedEx, first off you should better watch your language, okay? Secondly, it seems that you have a wrong impression about what usually happens when you buy proprietary software. You do not own the software itself after the purchase, because all you actually buy is a license that grants you the right to use the software, given that you accept certain terms of use. If you don't believe me just take a look at the EULA of Windows or any other program/game you have bought. In the case of the download version of Black Shark these terms include the limited number of activations and deactivations. Every company is free to specify their own terms of use (within legal limits of course), and if you do not agree with these conditions you are free not to buy the software. So there is absolutely no point in complaining, as you are not forced to do anything. Thirdly, when you come to a new forum first of all make it a habit to read the stickies. If you had read the FAQ you would have known that as long as you do not upgrade your harware in a major way or reinstall you operating system, you can un- and reinstall Black Shark as often as you want without loosing any (de-)activations. So, unless you are somebody who reinstalls his OS every month or buys a new CPU, which is highly unlikely, you should be able to run Black Shark for multiple years.
