The V2 cable power box is larger and has a power button on it so you can turn the headset off without having to unplug it.

I do have a V1 cable that HP replaced under warranty (when it turned out that the actual headset had failed) but to be honest I'd rather keep it as a spare (that's assuming that it still works!).

I suspect that eBay would be best bet but it's going to be second hand and of unknown quality.

I have a discord friend that has a rtx3090ti that is not working with the G2 V2 cable but works with the V1 cable. There seems to be some kind of issue with the new 3090ti andf the HP G2.

Yes PLUTON, if your still on warranty contact HP they will ship out one to you.

I'll swap them a 3070 and working V2 cable for the 3090ti, no charge to them

@PLUTONphone up your local HP support, they'll want the headset serial number and proof of purchase before they'll approve any replacement*. Headset serial is inside the headset on the right hand side (take the gasket off) and you can check the remaining warranty on the unit on the HP site.

They sent me a replacement cable which didn't fix my issue and it turned out that the headset was bad so they sent me a replacement unit entirely. It is refurbished but it works so I'm happy

*this was my experience although some people have mentioned that proof wasn't needed.

I am late to this, but I do have the V1 cable laying around for the G2. If they cover shipping they can have it. I am US-based, send me a DM if you want.

I saw this on reddit a while back and got a v2 box for free. It has a power button too so you dont have to keep unplugging the box when its not in use.
