Ok, I download the English version last Thursday, virtually as soon as it came out. I'm excited about the fact that I may be flying that weekend. What happens? We have a devastating ice storm and Thursday night/Friday morning I loose power. I end up at a shelter (first time I've ever had to do anything like that) but I'm one of the lucky ones. I get my power back after 3 days but that's too late for the week end.

ok, no problem. I'll wait until next weekend. Playing during the week really isn't an option because I generally don't get home from work until 7:30pm and it's usually 8:30pm by the time I've finished with dinner and then I'm just too tired to get my butt off the easy chair. It also doesn't help that I broke my ankle a few months ago so my mobility is a bit impaired.

This weekend gets here and I'm thinking I'll get a little stick time but we about 10 inches of snow Friday night which meant I had to spend half of Saturday clearing out the snow and now they're forecasting between 8 - 14 inches today. *sigh*.

I did finally get my first session at the stick on Saturday where I spent maybe an hour with the program which was just enough to watch a few tutorials and briefly takeoff (and quickly crash). The broken foot makes using the rudder pedals a challenge but hey, I just imagine that I've taken a round through the foot.

Since it'll be snowing all day I won't have to get out to dig out until this evening so I'll have most of the day to play (in between watching the football games on today). I'll be flying to visit my parents for Christmas this week but once I get back I'll have a whole week off and maybe finally I'll get some serious stick time with this sim..God willing ;).

A fellow New Hampshirite! :) Greetings from Enfield. You folks got hammered by the ice. We had outages out here but not nearly as wide-ranging as you.

Hunker down. It's snowing hard here already. :)

EDIT: (9:08AM local) And the wind has kicked in. The snow is coming down sideways.

I hate when it's cold and there's no snow. Boring. And no cover (protection) for the ground.

I agree with you about the snow LDemon. Nothing worse than a Christmas with no snow on the ground. I'd just prefer that the snow not interfere with me getting a few flight hours with Black Shark.

Hey IronHand, I work up near you in Hanover. It's that long commute that's the reason I don't get home until I do.

Well it is obvious for me that God sends you series of signals. You can pretend that you didn't received them (that is what most of us do in daily life), consider your self lucky, cos most of the people are totally unaware that the signals are sent constantly, they are too busy entertaining themselves. The choice is yours. ;)

Well I hope that Ice storm wasn't because of my computer playing habits or I'm going to have about a million people get really pissed at me (to say nothing about those army of utility workers out working in some pretty lousy conditions).

Hehe, 10 inches in one day? That´s nothing. Come to Norway on day and I will show you snow! We are used to it. I remember I watched a movie once ("Assault on precinct 13th") where is was the years worst snowstorm and it looked like 3-4 inched of snow. God I laughed, when I saw that. If that was a snowstorm (in the movie of course) what do we have here? Day after tomorrow? lol...hehe...kidding aside, no fun to lose power and such, hope you get some flying time later! Merry christmas guys! :)

Hey Guys greetings from Nashua NH. I had not realized that there were others from my area that were into LockOn/Black Shark. Cool beans. Although we got around 14" here my apartment building never lost power. Did not lose power after the ice storm either. At last check there were still upwards of 10,000 without power in the state but that was a few days back. Must be nearly fixed up by now. I also heard that parts of Maine got up to 41" of snow.

If you guys are interested in flying/learning Black Shark with a group of like minded people stop by our website at www.104thphoenix.com. Or join our TS at 64.34.169.148:8056 pass: phoenix

We have a Private Black Shark multiplayer Server running 24/7 and of course our Dedicated Server on HyperLobby for LockOn and DCS titles.

Would be thrilled to talk and fly with some guys from my home state as well.

Merry Christmas.
