Gentlemen,

After a very long time trying to finish the ATO B.P2.3 mission in the Su-25T - Georgian Oil War campaign, and after several landings and a few repairs, on one takeoff the canopy just jumped and was blown away.

The situation occurred a bit before 14:20 hours.

I managed to abort using the drag chute.

I then proceeded with repairing the aircraft, but after that the canopy no longer worked for the rest of the entire mission.

I leave here one screenshot.

As you can see in the screenshot, at that speed the canopy should already have been blown away.Screen_220524_014438.png

As to the track file, because it is so big, I uploaded it to WeTransfer, along with the debrief and some other screenshots.

This is the link:

Thank you for your attention.

I'm unable to reproduce this issue.

  1. I started a takeoff then opened the canopy: it went off.
  2. I interrupted my takeoff, stopped the plane, repaired.
  3. Once repaired, the canopy was back and working as it should.

A picture is worth a thousand words.

I flew almost an entire mission with it open.

I landed and took off several times.

I even repaired at least once.

I believe this is not applicable only to Su25t. I had this with J11A.

During landing approach, I opened the canopy and lost it. Landed, repaired and refueled, I could not close it, took off and canopy remained in open position during flight.

I trust you, but I'm unable to reproduce the issue. I need a short track (less than 10 minutes) showing this happening.

I'm retrying right now, but still no joy.

No joy with J-11 either.

Are you guys using the clickable cockpit mod?

I don't use any mods.

I am what some call a "purist".

I simply refuse to tamper with any original files or hardware. The only thing I change is the controls.

I even prefer to spend more money on hardware so that I don't need to overclock.

Hi Flappie, sorry for no response.

Back than I did not have any MODs installed in the machine.

However in light of all changes of 2.8 it may make sense to confirm if this is still an issue...
