25/5/2022 update

All missions

  • "Press spacebar" message did stay too long - fixed
  • Improved landing checklist
    • Landing checklist message sometimes fired too early - fixed
    • List is not challenge type list anymore but pilot monologi - except if item is missing Jester will remind to check the item
  • Player aircraft number corrected to match with side number
  • Some typos corrected
  • Jester talks less over VOs (even if someone might like Jester voice more🤐)

Mission 2

  • Tanker callsign fixed to match briefing/kneeboard
  • 4 months later...

Have the voice overs been changed to "Real Humans" instead of the Text to Speech computer voice?

That is the biggest problem I have with this campaign.  The immersive nature of the campaign is ruined as soon as that voice starts.

I love your sense of humour that comes across in the dialogue written for this wonderful campaign.  Thank you for putting so much effort into continuing to improve it.

Strange to see a real life news story today, that echoes one of your missions in the Strait of Hormuz.

DCS: F-14B Operation Sandworm Campaign by Sandman Simulations

  • Mission 1: AI stuck behind the cat if player is coming in for the first recovery sooner than expected – FIXED
  • Mission 6: 
    • Mission scoring fixed to make sure the mission is completed after all goals are met.
    • MIG-21s flying without missiles - FIXED
  • Mission 7: MIG-21s flying without missiles - FIXED
  • All missions: Time acceleration reset at crucial events

  • All missions: Charts, briefing materials and kneeboards updated
  • All missions: Hornet side numbers fixed to realistic
  • Mission 5: Ai behaviour changed to make sure Enfield 1 gets launched
  • Mission 6: Hornets attacking against ground targets - fixed. Mission sometimes fail even if goals are met - fixed.

15/10/2024 update

  • All missions - mission does not start at all - fixed
  • All missions – static AWACS and F/A-18C side numbers fixed
  • Mission 1 – helo position adjusted
  • Mission 2 – adjustments for Springfield flight
  • Mission 3 – adjustments for AWACS and Springfield flight
  • Mission 4 – In-game briefing chart was missing – fixed
  • Mission 7 – adjustments for Jester behavior
  • Mission 9 – some ai visibility and trigger adjustments

4/12/2024 update

  • All missions updated for the taxi director compatibility

Text "taxi director forced disabled" in ED change log is incorrect and from the time that F-14 was not compatible with the director (two weeks ago😆). Anyway the released version seems to be the correct one.

I was really disappointed when I saw this info in the DCS change log but then I have read here that it is not true. What a great way to start this campaign with the new SC deck directors working :thumbup: Thanks for the update. M1 was a handful with their parking logic but I'm already at M4, all fine.

Hi,

Of course everything worked fine when I submitted the update. At the moment it seems that there is a problem with the director in missions 5 and 7. I have already submitted a patch fixing the issue and hoping the logic won't change again before the next update

Hi, I was excited to play this campaign with my RIO, but he is unable to select his seat in my plane when starting the mission. 

Is this intentional? Can it be fixed?

I have tried to figure out how if something is wrong via the Mission Editor but I cannot find any options to make certain seats unavailable, not that I can save changes to your missions anyway.

24/12/2024 update

 

  • M5 & 7 – Deck rearrangements to enable the taxi director to work correctly
Unfortunately, it seems that the update introduced a new issue. In Mission 5, Enfield 2-2 gets stuck on the catapult this time, causing an explosion. The mission works without issues when the taxi director is disabled.

20/01/2025 update

 

  • All missions – More adjustments to get the taxi director work as it should
  • Mission 1 – Taxi director forced off to enable player to taxi right back to catapult after recovery
  • Mission 4 – trigger zones adjusted
  • Mission 4 – tanker holding area adjusted
  • Mission 4 – fixes to prevent landing aircraft to stuck on the deck
  • Mission 4 – Fixed missing kneeboard in briefing images
  • Mission 5 – Fixed Enfield 2 returning after launch
  • Mission 8 – Fixed CAS flight not following orders and enemy helo missing
