Hey All,

I have been wondering if I have a problem with my hardware, it is a game issue or working as intended.

For example, when ever I look at a target in the TEDAC it will will always be sliding to the right.  In order to stay on the target I need to slew constantly correcting to the left.

This is in SP, with AI George flying from the back seat.  I switch to the CPG seat only after establishing a stable hover.  I use an XBox controller for slew control.

This normal?

My gamepad does the same. Increase deadzone.
If you look in axies control, under the current control it should be blank. When you move it, then you see a readout.
I got a readout just resting me finger on it. I up the deadzone until readout resting my finger. 🙂

If you are in a stable hover and have engaged LMC and it drifts without you touching the slew, then it is not normal. Try a deadzone as suggested.

The TEDAC isn't ground stabilized like the TGP or the ATFLIR. If the Apache is moving, you have to compensate or use the LMC.

There could also be a drift that can be compensated with AZ/EL buttons (manual page 70) but never had to use it yet and not sure its implemented.

George seems to almost always slide ever so slightly to the right while hovering, like half a knot of ground speed. It's probably not the TADS. Go to an external view and check if you are truly stationary.

Afterburners are for wussies...hang around the battlefield and dodge tracers like a man.

Thanks Guys,

I did notice that when using the laser that the indicated range was changing slowly in 1m increments.  Going into Hover Mode prior to giving George control helps.
