Hello,
is there a way to make the TGP snap to a position you designate with AG radar in CCRP or Pre weapon modes (without using markpoints)?

This would be useful (for example) when hunting ships. They are easy to spot on the radar and while Mavericks follow the radar cursor, the TGP won't follow the cursor and won't slave to the position even if i designate on AG radar with TMS forward. This would be needed however to use gbu-10/gbu12 in CCRP against ships or other targets that were spooted by radar. Might alo be useful for GMT for example...

Bug or missing feature or correct as is?

Thanks!

its a bug. When you press TMS up while FCR is the soi, it should slew the tgp to it. Work around is to cycle TMS right.

Normally line of sight slaving is automatic. Cycling the sighting point rotary either by MFD button or TMS right is a workaround. Each change is a one time kick that updates the TGP LOS to SPI from FCR.

thanks @Frederf@TEOMOOSE

however i am not sure what you mean with cycling the sighting point. is that a new function on the hotas? i was away from dcs for several month and might not have picked up everythig that changed with recent updates 😳 (on the mfd you mean just clicking  the button to cycle tgt, oa1, oa2 etc. correct?)

There's 1 System Point of Interest in the viper, and all the sensors should point to it only exceptions being NAV and A-A master modes. So if your SOI is AG radar and you move the crosshairs, that moves the SPI, the TGP should follow this SPI. This is not implemented at the moment and hopefully will be corrected soon.

Yes, that is the sighting point rotary. Even when the rotary (repeating list) only contains one item e.g. TGT cycling still does the "kick" workaround. TMS right as hands on has been in a long time but hard to notice because IP or RP is hidden when not in VIP/VRP and OAP should be hidden when distance is 0 feet on DEST page.
