I think what would fix this is Newt coming up and saying something vague, like "Boss I see someone getting on the roof of that middle building. Might be a -insert pilot jargon for shoulder fired missile-" maybe 20 seconds after the "proceed with swooping in until you're shot at" message. The problem being that you are being directed to do "shows of force" which (correct me if I'm wrong) is doing Maverick buzz the tower runs. I think there needs to be a cognitive bridge between the two, hence the proposed voiceover at that time. At least Newt could be good for.. something...

My first attempt I actually ACTUALLY dodged it! I blew up the two trucks and strafed one line of troops that I can't see because I have a VR headset on (with Newt doing absolutely NOTHING for me by the way! Despite being told to do so) but on the way back I heard "I don't know about that A-10 pilot" on my way home.  So I flipped the &#^% out, accidentally scared my dog with all the shouting and spittle...  and restarted the mission. I am my own worst enemy.

NINE more attempts. NINE. Being blown up by something I'm expecting created a mental block, and I couldn't shake the Igla even though I've done it a million times before. It wasn't until I treated the thing with super fast reaction time (like I was "surprised" akin to the first playthrough) that I was able to complete it.

Before this mission, I was really optimistic that this campaign wouldn't be frustrating like the Baltic Dragon campaigns I've bought recently.

Hopefully it's just this one, because frankly these missions have been a breath of fresh air comparatively.

Hopefully it won't frustrate you, there's always options to how you approach a mission, and the choice to not take taskings/abort early.  I don't want anyone to ever feel stuck in my campaigns, but that said going for max score can be very challenging....easy to complete, hard to master so to speak.  The Igla has always been a source of annoyance for some, they seem to have got more dangerous since the campaign was built.  I've already got Newt's performance in this part of the mission on my list of things to check so I'll look into it.

So I've tried this mission several times now. I am able to evade the Igla and drop the last JDAM in the Village, killing the man pad. But for some reason my gun just wont fire after that. It started firing again just after I got the message they lost contact with the A10 pilot. Any Ideas on what could be happening?

Space bar. I tried changing the keybind to Ctrl+Space and it worked! Couldn't save the pilot tho... Maybe I'll give it another go tomorrow! Thanks!

No worries, the 'press spacebar' command messes with the gun when it's bound to the same key.
