Sorry to make two threads so close together; I did a search though and couldn't find what I was looking for. I'm trying to fly the new frog and it handles nothing like the old one. At high speeds it's virtually unturnable; I'll bank about 60 degrees and it'll all of a sudden reverse the direction of the bank and roll until it's inverted. At lower speeds it banks too much and I end up spinning out. I've tried to get the hang of the flight model but it's just not coming to me; the training missions aren't helping. Is there a way to flight it so that it banks normally?

Also, I seem to be having trouble cycling weapons. In the A2G training mission, the demonstrator is able to activate all A2G weapons by pressing the "cycle weapons" key and turning on the Shkval. When I try it on the Su-25T quickstart mission, I am only able to toggle cannon and rockets. Am I missing a step?

Thanks; I'm trying to learn the game but as you can tell I'm having mixed success!

You get the inverted banking because you go too fast - working as intended. Su-25T is not made for high speeds, it will come down in pieces if you try to push it too much ;)

Otherwise, it is supposed to handle differently than old one, its called Advanced Flight model vs. the old simple one.

Make sure you have Shkval/A2G mode on to activate missiles.

Banks too much? Well turn your joystick less, you do use a joystick? If not, well then you have the wrong game ^^

I don't think you're missing a step. The quick start mission has rockets (C8M) and Vikhrs (9A4172) available as well as gunpods. When you first enter A2G mode, the rockets are selected. Pressing "D" cycles to the Vikhrs. Press "D" again and you're back to the rockets. Pressing "C" brings up the cannon options.

Due to the modifications made Su25T become heavier than Su25. Most common mistakes done by new pilots is putting maximum load under the wings plus full fuel tank. It's crucial to understand what weapons you really need to accomplish the mission task and don’t take anything else. Note, when you return back, how many weapons are still under the wings, note the fuel leftover. With hours spent flying Su25T you will understand what you need to take to the mission and what you don't. If mission is in the mountains it's crucial to reduce weight as much as possible. For instance try to fly empty Su25T with half fuel tank and then with your most common load and I'm sure you will see the difference. Good luck!

Wow, thanks for all the replies! I haven't tried lowering flaps; I guess that should have been the first think I thought of. I've been kind of cautious with the rudder; the first time I used it I sent her into a spin that I couldn't recover from. I'll try again and see if I can get it worked in.

On a side note, when arming a Su-33 with the Kh-41, how does one fire it? I tried to press both "enter" and "space" and neither resulted in a launch. There's no training mission for anti-ship; could someone give me a tip?

Konkussion. I believe you are referring to the Su-25T and launching a laser guided missile on a non-locked target with the Shkval. We were talking about the Kh-41 with the Su-33 :)

"Kh-41

The target must be marked as a target by the mission designer. You then get the diamond over the target in A2G mode. Next turn on your radar before firing. "
