When flying mission 7 and after dropping my Marine Marker or Mk20, Flip calls ''negative smoke''. Is this intended or was this due to my error? I must say that I was in a very loose formation (the entire flight was in a very loose formation, the AI was still catching up). When spectating my RE impact I noticed it did drop quite short of the others. Maybe too short to trigger the smoke? I continued to do my runs and just imagined where my smoke would be and have yet to finish the mission (currently paused), I imagine I can still pass it but was wondering about this because I also couldnt find anything about what to do in the briefing or in-game tips when the marker ''fails''.

Okay, so I finished the mission now. I understand that it doesnt really matter because the mission changes anyway. Also understand that building in something if the player makes a mistake would be a lot of work for something that doesnt really matter if we skip the realism part for a second.

Maybe a tip would be to include something in the designer notes in the lines of, ''if the smoke marker fails or you have negative smoke, continue and aim for where you think the smoke would be'' or any more realistic version of that.

Yeah it is intended. The problem is I cannot put smoke on the water, because I have no way of telling where player's bomb would fall. So it is just a failure of the smoke marker.
