Please try again after the next open beta patch.
We had an issue with leading zeros creating negative values. It has been fixed for the next patch.

thank you

NOT SOLVED 😪, unfortunately ... still same bug present at latest OB. Zero obviously has nothing to do with it.

Sorry we are still looking at this.

You mention that "MAG BRNG = TRUE BRNG + MAG VAR (not "minus")"

but it's incorrect, we have eastern declination on Caucasus, so we need to subtract the declination

If Declination is East
True Bearing(T.B) = [Magnetic Bearing(M.B) + Declination]

If Declination is East
True Bearing(T.B) = [Magnetic Bearing(M.B) + Declination]

EAST DECLINATION:

YOUR TRUE HEADING = MAG HDG + DECLINATION            90°TH = 85°MH + 5°D

YOUR MAG HEADING = TRUE HDG - DECLINATION             85°MH = 90°TH - 5°D

UFC set MAG BRNG + DECLINATION = OFFSET TRUE BEARING    90°MB + 5°D = 95°TB

UFC set TRUE BRNG - DECLINATION = OFFSET MAG  BEARING    90°TB - 5°D = 85°MB

Simple TEST: Lineup your nose to MAG 90° and create Offset point (in same magnetic geografical reference) with value of exact same 90° MAG BRNG (set Range to 20nm for better reading from HSI). You will see, that the point is not on your nose, but far to the left, it will be created not at 95°T - should be, but will be created at direction 85°T/80°M = WRONG.     ( THE PICTURE ABOVE IS NOT DEPICTING THIS TEST)

the team have found an issue with wrong position, but its not related to mag bearing, but thank you for the report it has helped.

  • Thanks 1
