Waffi Posted July 15, 2022 Posted July 15, 2022 Hi everyone, been wondering why my HUD indicator is offset. The example I have isn't a great example since it is almost centered but I have had times where it is wayy to the right. It has happened in the F-16 too and I think F-18. Wondering if it is because of alignment being done too fast but I think it isn't because I have a full alignment that was done properly. If anyone could elaborate on a fix that would be great.null
ASAP Posted July 15, 2022 Posted July 15, 2022 You have a left to right crosswind in that image (which is perfectly normal), or you are flying uncoordinated with a whole boot of left rudder. Look at the CDU steerpoint page and it will tell you the winds in the bottom left. Also look at the slip indicator to make sure it is lined up. 2
Leg2ion Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 As per ASAPs - if you are slow with a crosswind the HUD will drift. Try setting up a couple of training missions - onto the same runway etc, with different crosswinds, and you should see the difference.
