DEWorley Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 is there someway to backup a campaign in-progress?
NullCharacter Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 The following file contains your logbook and campaign progress info. Just back it up and you should be okay. "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\Ka-50\BlackShark\data\scripts\Logbook\Players.lua" [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
DEWorley Posted December 30, 2008 Author Posted December 30, 2008 thanks, i'll give that a try. it looks like i'll be doing another un/re-install since the game has re-mapped my joystick throttle from the cockpit collective stick to the cockpit throttle levers! i've tried re-mapping it back in the game controller profile & it seems to be remapped but in the cockpit it reverts to moving the throttle levers.
DEWorley Posted December 30, 2008 Author Posted December 30, 2008 well, my C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\Ka-50\BlackShark\data\scripts\Logbook folder is empty but i have flown the first 3 missions in the 'familarization' (?) campaign!

Mine did that too so I just deleted the lua files in the C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\Ka-50\Config\Input\Aircrafts\ka-50\joystick directory and restarted the game  "The only thing a chopper pilot should do downwind is take a leak" - CFI _______________________ CPL(H). The "Familiarization" section is not a campaign, it's part of the training provided by the game. It's just a set of pre-recorded tracks that you watch. Your progress is not saved with these in any way. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
DEWorley Posted December 30, 2008 Author Posted December 30, 2008 nullcharacter, thanks for the info but the missions don't seem to be pre-recorded (i 'm doing all the flying except the startup) & it is under the 'campaign' selection in the launcher. jack57, unfortunately i got antsy & went ahead & un-installed the game before i saw your message. now i'm trying to re-install the game. i've had to do this 3 times & every time i have to re-download (4-6 hours) the 2 files, is this normal? it seems that once i install the game using the data & setup files, the next time i try to use them to re-install the game it just locks up my pc.
Big_les Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 (edited) <edited because I'm a dope> Just in case anyone else is too - if you have an empty Logbook folder and you're on Vista (with default install path), it's because vista has put the working version of that folder into C:\Users\USER\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\Ka-50\BlackShark. Your pilot and logbook lua files will be in there. Edited March 2, 2009 by Big_les
