  1. Thanks for the mission Mauser, it was fun. I did have one bug that I wanted to share: Otherwise, it was a nice mission. Having to keep an eye on Jaguar in the TGP throughout their mission was difficult. The green flares they put down were impossible to see at that time of day so I just had to scan the area until I found them again.
  2. Speed: Excellent work. Thanks for your efforts. I hosted this mission on my server tonight and it ran just fine - the way it was before 1.1.0.9. I was even able to remove the labels by adding back in the options file from the original V2 posting of this mission. It must have been something with your configuration. I've attached the corrected mission file to this post. Op_Saturn_V2_1109.miz
  3. Thanks Smokey. It is a nice mission and it's pretty popular when I run it on my server.
  4. I should probably make it known that Ohm and I were able to reconcile our differences via PM. He is welcome to join my server anytime. The line between just goofing around and being a nuisance can be quite thin sometimes. We just both happened to see his actions on different sides of this line. All's well that ends well.
  5. It was my server and I was the one kicking you. If you come back, I will kick you again. You conveniently left out the part about how you were shooting at other player aircraft at the field. You then attempted to re-connect about 50 times with varying player names, further solidifying my decision to kick you. I have a zero tolerance policy regarding people who screw around, especially if it may affect others trying to complete the mission. Please don't come back to my server anymore.
  6. Excellent mission Dragon. Three of us managed to complete it last night. It took a few hours and a lot of spare Ka-50s but we managed to get it done. There's definitely some nice surprises hidden in there.
  7. I was able to pick off the ones near the airfield without a problem. However, the one on the right was more difficult because he was obstructed by trees. Each time I tried to locate him with my Shkval I would expose myself too much and suddenly see a missile flying my way. I would then quickly hide behind the hill to evade the missile. I repeated this about six times and he ran out of missiles.
  8. Yes, I was using "alt hold" and even then the chopper would deviate from the altitude slightly. My problem was that once I started engaging the target I would lose track of my altitude and break the ceiling. It's not something you need to change in the mission, just something the pilot has to adapt to. The 5 meter altitude warning is definitely a good idea. Never even occurred to me to try that. Good call. That explains why the missiles would not track properly. I may have to try this mission again now. Completely forgot about that capability since I'm so used to using vikhrs and rockets. :music_whistling: Maybe put a reminder about this in the mission briefing? And yes, that escort was able to shoot down my missiles several times so to prevent that I started approaching the convoy from the rear, placing the target ship directly between me and the escort. Yeah, all the other missions are great. I love having to use the abris during a mission to figure out how to get where I need to go. I've learned a few new things about the abris in the process. Mission 14 could be a bit more challenging, especially since it's so close to the end of the campaign. I didn't encounter any resistance or real challenge on my way to or at the target area. Yes, please make a Georgian Havoc 2. However, don't forget about us Ka-50 pilots when the A-10 arrives!
  9. igormk, I have some suggestions for a couple of the missions. ** SPOILERS *** Mission 10, "Secret Mission": This mission was an experience in frustration for me. I've tried it about 6 or 7 times before I finally gave up. The low ceiling is incredibly difficult to stay under - especially when you start engaging the target ship. The ship's escort loves to shoot your rockets out of the sky if you engage from the wrong direction. Most importantly though, the mission seems to have a bug when you use time acceleration. Because of the distances involved I used 3x - 5x time acceleration to get to the target area. When I arrived there I would find the Inguri warping back and forth anywhere from the length of one ship to several. It was possible to get a lock but not possible to hit it with anything. I'm guessing this is a bug in the game but it made this mission impossible for me and I wasn't about to go try it again without time compression. So, I decided to abandon it and move on. However, I did have a good time trying to evade the F-16s after they were instructed to intercept me. There was one time where they fired their AIM-120s at me and missed. I was also able to deflect their AIM-9s with some flares. I had almost made it back to the safety of the friendly carrier when one of the F-16s got behind me and shot me down with his guns. The carrier promptly removed that pilot from his plane. :) Mission 11, "Anti Arty": Unlike all of the other missions that start cold and dark at an airport, this one starts in the air. Is it possible you forgot to move the start point back after you were doing some testing? Otherwise, thanks for the campaign. It's a lot of fun. I'm currently trying to find a way to complete the last mission. I'll let you know how it goes.
  10. ** SPOILER WARNING ** slug88, I managed to pass this mission on my second attempt. Here's how I did it. I flew to the location of the friendly units and hovered above them. I located the first convoy and starting engaging with vikhrs at 7km, air defense vehicles first. I spent all 12 vikhrs and got 12 kills. At that point I instructed my wingman to engage ground targets while I flew to the nearest airport to re-arm (around 15-20km NW if I recall correctly). He spent all of his missiles destroying the remainder of the first convoy. None of the ground units were hurt. When I returned from re-arm I parked my heli about 2 km east of the ground units. This gave me a better view of the second convoy as they travelled north. Again, once they were 7km away I started engaging and got 12 kills, air defense vehicles first. Then I sent in my wingman to clean up the rest. None of the friendly ground units were hurt. The key here was to spend all of your 12 vikhrs as soon as possible so you could re-arm and return before the second convoy gets too close. Also, you have to make each missile count.
  11. Thanks for this campaign. I'm having an absolute blast with it. Mission 5, "Breakthrough", ranks up there as one of the best Black Shark missions I've ever played. SPOILERS BELOW: I agree with Hardcore. The 4th mission is a bit hard on the PC. Also, it seems that your survival is simply a matter of luck. The first two times I played it I barely had a chance to get airborne (and that's using the auto-start cheat) before being killed by the attack choppers. On the third try the air defenses were able to thin them out sufficiently for me to engage the single remaining attack heli. Anybody doing a manual start-up in this mission will find it hopeless.
  12. The program was officially announced by the developer here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=609823&postcount=121
  13. Ulrich, I have to agree with littlejohn1595. I am also not able to understand what you are trying to convey to us. Maybe you could point us to a section in the manual where this is discussed?
  14. Deactivate the XP copy first and use the deactivation code when you activate in W7. Then, when you're done with W7 deactivate again and use the code to re-activate in WinXP. You shouldn't lose an activation this way. You also can't play both at the same time either.
  15. Jesse, Here's a suggestion for your app: If not already running, have it start TrackIR software before starting Black Shark!
  16. You need to buy the type of memory that the motherboard you are purchasing supports.
  17. According to the mission you must be within the UAZ's trigger zone which has a radius of 20m. Also, your altitude must be below 283. Once you enter this zone you will get a message indicating that you've found him and he's looking through his glove compartment. 12 seconds later, assuming you're still in the zone and below 283, you'll get a message indicating you've received the package and can continue.
  18. Jesse, Just tried your latest version with the registry path detection. Works great on my Vista x64!
  19. Thanks mckee14, I did misunderstand his question at first.
  20. From the manual: Begin Loop. Used in conjunction with the following waypoint being an End Loop Type waypoint, this setting will allow the aircraft to circle between the two waypoints until low on fuel or damaged. End Loop. Used in conjunction with the previous waypoint being a Begin Loop Type waypoint, this setting will allow the aircraft to circle between the two waypoints until low on fuel or damaged. Yes, the aircraft will continue to fly between these two points until low on fuel or damaged. Make sure you have properly set the Begin Loop point. The problem you described might happen if you have a "End Loop" with no "Begin Loop".
  21. Not a problem. I'm very used to having to manually install small applications like this (by trade, I am a software developer myself). It was just a suggestion to improve ease of use. Otherwise, the app works great. Thanks again! P.S. You should probably create a new topic for your application or else it will get lost in this large thread!
  22. I believe it has more to do with the speed of your video card's memory than anything else. When I overclock my 8800GTX memory from 900 MHz to 1,000 MHz I see a 30 - 35% improvement in fps in BS.
  23. Excellent! It'll be nice to play a mission without having to worry about launching all your missiles before the problem occurs.
  24. You have to land very close to the car. Just try not to bump it!
