Franky__ Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 I like these russian songs too but unfortunately there are only a few of them so I had to complement the list with my own russian tracks :) Also I created a collection of the Vietnam era, first I thought the feeling ain't gonna "come through" in this helicopter but it works perfectly for me :) I've got about 80 tracks, all of them the most popular ones. They rock when I fly. ASUS P6X58D Premium, Intel Core i7 980X 3.33 Ghz Extreme, 12 Gb Corsair DDR 3 1600 Mhz, 2x 1 Gb Geforce 460 GTX GLH in SLI , X52 Pro, Pro Flight Rudder Pedals, Logitech G15, TrackIR 4 Pro, 600 Gb Sata 3 WD Velociraptor 10000 RPM, 1000 W Corsair PSU, HOTAS WARTHOG
viper3two Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 hate to sound dumb, but where are these songs and are you playing them in the sim? Thanks
Airway Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 There is a virtual radio broadcast station in the sim that is playing these files that are stored in your Game->Sound->Samples->RadioMayak folder. You can replace them with your favourites
Franky__ Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 They are (the few russian ones) in the Sounds/Sample directory. If you want to add other songs to the list, you have to convert them to wav or ogg and copy into this directory. After that delete the "sampledurationtable" file, tune the radio to 125.675 in the game and switch to FM. Switch to AM, not FM :smilewink: An be 90km around the broadcasting station or you will only hear the sound of silence. :)
Dusty Rhodes Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 Silly question but is there a volume control for the radio so I can just turn down the radio and all other sounds are still at a normal volume. I wouldn't want the radio to drown out Nadia. :) Dusty Rhodes Play HARD, Play FAIR, Play TO WIN Win 7 Professional 64 Bit / Intel i7 4790 Devils Canyon, 4.0 GIG /ASUS Maximus VII Formula Motherboard/ ASUS GTX 1080 8 GB/ 32 Gigs of RAM / Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog / TrackIR 5 / 2 Cougar MFD's / Saitek Combat Pedals/ DSD Button Box FLT-1
Franky__ Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 Airway you're right I was in a hurry when I wrote the post, I had to run buy some champaigne before the store was closed:) Oh, and the manual says 70 km the max radius. So should we call even? :):):) ASUS P6X58D Premium, Intel Core i7 980X 3.33 Ghz Extreme, 12 Gb Corsair DDR 3 1600 Mhz, 2x 1 Gb Geforce 460 GTX GLH in SLI , X52 Pro, Pro Flight Rudder Pedals, Logitech G15, TrackIR 4 Pro, 600 Gb Sata 3 WD Velociraptor 10000 RPM, 1000 W Corsair PSU, HOTAS WARTHOG
Airway Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 Ok, even :D 70km was the radius. But hey - 20 km in the Ka-50 is nothing :D

viper3two Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 Thanks guys for the info on the radio . I am still learning how to fly this beast lol, haven't had time to figure out everything yet. Thanks again.
EvilBivol-1 Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 I wouldn't want the radio to drown out Nadia. The VMS automatically quiets all other intercom sound when a Nadia message is played. :) - EB [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Nothing is easy. Everything takes much longer. The Parable of Jane's A-10 Forum Rules

Tacbat Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 ] LCTRL LSHIFT = Volume Up [ LCTRL LSHIRT = Volume Down Is it just me, or does this not work for the music volume? Is there a dial in the cockpit that controls the volume for the R-800. This seems to be for the R-828 instead.
