Donglr Posted August 6, 2022 Posted August 6, 2022 My game crashed about 20-30min into the game. Don't really know when this started to happen, as I was on a little DCS break, but it definitely happens this and the previous version. I am on OpenBeta. It also happend on the current and the previous Radeon drivers. I play in VR. I tried using OpenXR once to see if that makes a difference, but performance was so bad, that I didn't fly long enough to get a conclusive result. So back to SteamVR. The .zip is what the dxdiag made after the crash. ~1 out of every three crashes the game is still so much alive, that it is "very sorry the game crashed" and would like to collect some data. In all other cases the SteamVR Mountain ridge view appears, saying "waiting...", the desktop repeater image just freezes and I have to task manager kill DCS. dcs.log-20220806-210313.zip
Solution Flappie Posted August 7, 2022 Solution Posted August 7, 2022 (edited) Look no further: your C:\ drive is as full as can be: Disk & DVD/CD-ROM Drives ------------------------ Drive: C: Free Space: 0.2 GB Total Space: 113.8 GB File System: NTFS Model: Samsung SSD 840 Series Drive: D: Free Space: 181.3 GB Total Space: 476.9 GB File System: NTFS Model: Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500GB Drive: E: Free Space: 503.7 GB Total Space: 953.9 GB File System: NTFS Model: KINGSTON SA2000M81000G It badly needs some air. Try to free up at least 20GB. Also ensure your pagefile is stored on another drive (a fast one, with at least 50GB of free space). Edited August 7, 2022 by Flappie 1 ---
Donglr Posted August 8, 2022 Author Posted August 8, 2022 That seems to have been the solution. Played for a while, certainly more than 30min and no crash. If now only for the next time there was a more telling error message.... Thank you Flappie for having a look and finding the answer so quickly!
