F14 not available to use

I do not have either the Harrier or the Tomcat  although I do fly the F18 with a group of friends. In designing missions, the Harrier is in the dropdown list of US aircraft and I can put it on the map for others to fly. However, the F14 is MIA-not on the dropdown. How can I troubleshoot this?

check if the historic filter is active, if it is then the mission year has to be one where the Tomcat was actually in service. Its the clock thingy on the status bar of the editor:
