SuperCadet63 Posted August 19, 2022 Posted August 19, 2022 I've been reading the forums and trying to get my three monitor setup to work but I just cant figure it out. DCS places the GUI on the center screen and the second screen is black but the first one dcs isnt even on. My center monitor is 2560x1440 and my two outer monitors are 1680x1050. I have my center monitor set as primary display. Here is a picture of what dcs currently does and my LUA setup is. I bet I am missing something obvious. Thanks for the help.null

MadKreator Posted September 9, 2022 Posted September 9, 2022 (edited) Just wondering if you’ve turned off full screen mode. When I did my multi monitor for external mfd’s part of the guide says to un check fullscreen mode. May not be necessary for 3 screen as the main view. And that the resolution in the main options is set so its the total width of all three in pixels and height of the tallest one? 2560x1440 + (2x)1680x1050 would be 5920x1440 in the monitor size in the main options.. just a couple ideas if you haven’t done those already. I know when I setup my external mfds, dcs was finicky about what order I selected the options. Otherwise It would make the displays all crazy and unuseavle until everything was set correctly. Wonder if its freaking out because the monitors are different sizes? note: I haven’t setup 3 monitors as main screens, only for mfd’s …just a couple ideas. Scott-S6 Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 (edited) I would suggest setting the left monitor to X= 0 and updating center and right accordingly. I do not believe you can have negative values, 0,0 is the origin. You may also need to add this so that the UI isn't horrible. GU_MAIN_VIEWPORT = Viewports.Cente Edited November 13, 2022 by Scott-S6
SpeedDemonAdam Posted December 10, 2022 Posted December 10, 2022 With 3 matching displays I just set 3 cameras in the multi monitor option and use nvidia surround set to a resolution for all 3 displays.
SuperCadet63 Posted January 12, 2023 Author Posted January 12, 2023 (edited) Thanks for everyone's responses. After many hours of trying to get this correct I finally got it working. I think it just came down to trail and error along with luck. The first thing I can think of is that the monitor setup in windows might effect it. Scott-S6 got me in the right direction. The numbers do need to be positive. Origin is in the top left, and positive y is down to the bottom of the monitor. The most left monitor needs to be 0x and 0y I got it to work with full screen off. You also have to have the correct resolution selected. I did not have my most left monitor set as my main monitor. To be honest I do not know how I even got it to work. nullThere seems to be many variables. If you have any questions to ask me feel free to. I wish it wasnt this difficult to set up. I think I was overthinking it at the start because now looking at it, it doesnt look so hard. Attached image is my working settings. However it seems the clouds are very broken in multi monitor just like they were in VR when they first came out. They kinda just stick to the monitor and come with it if that makes sense. Not only that but the clouds are straight up invisible on the other monitors ROFL nullnullNot only that but the frame hit is terrible. I went from around 80-90fps down to 20-30. But that was to be expected. So looks like I wont be using this setup unless I find that I did something wrong. Back to one screen it is smh. Edited January 12, 2023 by SuperCadet63
