CoaCoaPuff Posted August 27, 2022 Posted August 27, 2022 Good Day All- I recently received my Varjo Aero and I am definitely loving it. I also use Track-IR for flying sessions I do with friends and family. The issue that I am having is being able to turn and see the side cockpit panels with the Varjo as easily as I can with Track IR. For example, I fly the F-16C and F-5E quite a bit and with Track IR, I am easily able to turn from side to side to see the complete panels in both aircraft. However, when using the Varjo Aero, I have to really extend my neck in a way that can be very uncomfortable and sometimes painful. Is there a way to adjust the turn radius with the Varjo Aero to improve the experience? Thanks all,

CoaCoaPuff Posted August 27, 2022 Author Posted August 27, 2022 Thanks Speed-of-Heat!!! I will give them both a try.

CoaCoaPuff Posted August 28, 2022 Author Posted August 28, 2022 So Xrnecksafer seems to work best with OpenXR but I was hoping that the tool would allow wider turns without having to press buttons on the stick or throttle. Is this possible? Im also wondering if Xrnecksafer or vrnecksafer will work with the Varjo Aero.
speed-of-heat Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 (edited) Select enable autorotation... the only button you will have to press is the VR centre button (which you need mapped anyway) Edited August 28, 2022 by speed-of-heat SYSTEM SPECS: Hardware AMD 9800X3D, 64Gb RAM, 4090 FE, Virpil T50CM3 Throttle, WinWIng Orion 2 & F-16EX + MFG Crosswinds V2, Varjo Aero SOFTWARE: Microsoft Windows 11, VoiceAttack & VAICOM PRO YOUTUBE CHANNEL: @speed-of-heat
speed-of-heat Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 for if they work with the Vero, you will have to test it . XR works with open composite VR works with steamVR SYSTEM SPECS: Hardware AMD 9800X3D, 64Gb RAM, 4090 FE, Virpil T50CM3 Throttle, WinWIng Orion 2 & F-16EX + MFG Crosswinds V2, Varjo Aero SOFTWARE: Microsoft Windows 11, VoiceAttack & VAICOM PRO YOUTUBE CHANNEL: @speed-of-heat
CoaCoaPuff Posted August 28, 2022 Author Posted August 28, 2022 So I finally got XRnecksafer to workwith enable autoration on "smooth" however, it seems to be very glitchy. Anyone else having this issue with the Varjo Aero?
speed-of-heat Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 I don't use smooth because it makes me feel sick, but stepped rotation has a couple of glitches if you are on the edge of a rotation zone, especially vertical SYSTEM SPECS: Hardware AMD 9800X3D, 64Gb RAM, 4090 FE, Virpil T50CM3 Throttle, WinWIng Orion 2 & F-16EX + MFG Crosswinds V2, Varjo Aero SOFTWARE: Microsoft Windows 11, VoiceAttack & VAICOM PRO YOUTUBE CHANNEL: @speed-of-heat
CoaCoaPuff Posted September 5, 2022 Author Posted September 5, 2022 Ok guys!!! I dont know if it’s my Varjo Aero or what but I just cant get this application to work (XRnecksafer). Maybe I should just repair my DCS install and do the Open Composite installation all over again followed by the XRnecksafer. Is there any reliable guide for installation that any of you could suggest? Thanks again for all your help and guidance!!!
speed-of-heat Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 the installation process documented work reliably, it might "just" be a compatibility issue with the Aero, assuming opencomposite is working SYSTEM SPECS: Hardware AMD 9800X3D, 64Gb RAM, 4090 FE, Virpil T50CM3 Throttle, WinWIng Orion 2 & F-16EX + MFG Crosswinds V2, Varjo Aero SOFTWARE: Microsoft Windows 11, VoiceAttack & VAICOM PRO YOUTUBE CHANNEL: @speed-of-heat
CoaCoaPuff Posted September 7, 2022 Author Posted September 7, 2022 That's what i was thinking of as well. I do have OpenComposite working correctly so it my be very well an issue with Varjo Aero compatibility.
