Well look what arrived. Works in app but so far can’t get it to work right in game. Had to recalibrate out of the box as you can see the center was way off. First winwing product I’ve had to recalibrate.

No profiles available from winwing too. Images before I installed my F-16ex grip. Barely moves in game at all and mostly just in one axis, totally unflyable, will have to wait till profiles are out and I can recalibrate to makes sure it’s not bad or setup wrong. But that will be awhile as I’m working getting prepared for the hurricane.

Probably would have been better buying the FSSB R3 instead. Of course you would need to have a TM Warthog on top of it, but they also have F-16 sticks on their site, probably just as much.

@Sorata

Good luck with your new stick, hopefully it is just something simple in the setup.

@Hammer1-1

I do have the Realsimulator FSSB R3 and I did run it with a TM Viper stick initially, but it didn´t really feel like it was up to that kind of "stress". So I finally bought the RS F-16 stick, which feels way better in that regard.

Now if you compare the pricetags on the RS FSSB vs winwing it will be interesting to see, how WW performs. I do not regret buying the RS stuff though...

Didn´t want to derail the thread, but since you were bringing up that point, I wanted to mention it, if anyone wants to go the FSSB R3 route...

Thanks for the heads up!! My pre-order payment just came through so I guess I will get to see how it handles next week. I bet it won't be long before profiles and software get cleaned up if the bulk of pre-orders are starting to ship.

Finally got a day off and time to fix the setup (I worked 15 days straight, 12 hour shifts, due to low staff at the PD). Also it helped that a user named flakweazel added the profile a few days ago. It was unflyable till I went into the MFSSB config settings and changed lowered it to 50% by moving the sliders inward thus making it more sensitive to my movements.

After that I could fly and lord this thing is awesome! Without doing that even holding the base with one hand and putting a lot of force to move to full extension the most the config showed my stick movements was 43% of 100 and I couldn't move it any further. Seems this thing needs tweaking out the box so expect that and I dont see why they made the settings the way they are cause without you changing the sliders there is no way you can reach the 100 mark. The left right movement is much harder than forward and back on the stick. flys nice but needs work so I see why they wont sell it as a kit now and only preinstalled.

They may have realized this as well. They sent me and about a dozen other customers a note saying they were not sending us the units and we could get a refund or wait. This after getting the shipping notification two days ago.

Whatever is wrong they are clearly uncomfortable sending out more units until these issues are resolved.

That's possible or it could also be due to covid restrictions that they may still be under? Either way it seem few units went out aside from the person who made the profile which only has two downloads now I have yet to see anyone else with one, surprised there are no youtube reviews yet either. The fact they will no longer sell the unit by itself for consumers to install also suggest to me it may be hard to install at the factory too and its possible few techs are available to make it?

I will say though it makes flying the F-16 extremely nice. So much so I want another despite the initial issues with mine to setup for my F/A-18 control set. Since trying winwing I ended up getting every F-16 item they have and every F/A-18 item they have for two separate specialized setups. Expensive but I feel it was worth it as it makes the experience so much better and I don't have resources or ability to make 1:1 pits myself. I've spent  3255 this year on winwing and still plan to get the MIP and Heli setups and aside from the initial hiccup with the MFSSB everything with them so far has been stellar prompting me to dump my Thrustmaster Warthog though I kept the throttle for now.

Same here. Pretty good experience so far.

FedEx tracking is still saying no receipt of the package so I might get lucky but not holding my breath.

Here is what they sent us. As you can probably discern, this message is the opposite or clear and could mean literally anything. Not sure whether I will wait or go to the back of the line.

Seems reasonably clear when you account for them being Chinese. They ran into some potential trouble while testing and are trying to figure out if it's a big deal. You can keep waiting, if you don't like waiting, they can refund.

Clearly, I wasn't clear, either.😁 I understood the words they wrote, but the words they wrote don't communicate very much. Is it a harware problem? Is is the calibration problem @Sorata is describing above? Are the bases spontaeously combusting when plugging in your grip? Who can be sure based on Dory's few words...

If the problem is software alone, why hold the units back and not just issue a patch? Thier responses leaves a lot to be desired now that the money has left my bank. It's one thing to say the pre-order has been delayed another month to work out some bugs and quite another to charge me, send me a shipping code and then send me that email. The fact they are offering a refund after I have waited on pre-order for months tells me they don't think they can resolve this issue in a few days or a couple of weeks.

Rather than put the matter to bed with better information, I get to fill in the spaces with wild speculation and conspiracy theories while I wait. Clear? 🔔💎

It's got to be hard to know how much to share if you're them.  Just another perspective to your speculation/conspiracy theory 🙂Obviously english isn't their 1st language, so the more they share, the tougher it would be.  At this point they may have some idea of the symptom, but no idea of the root cause.  If it is a software issue and they don't have a patch coming within a few days I can see holding off on shipping.  All they're going to get from shipping is angry customers who can't use the device.  Likewise, if they're still figuring out the problem or the fix, I think it's pretty good customer service to say "hey we took your money but we aren't sure when we can ship so do you want your money back or are you willing to wait?".  If they're not sure of the issue/fix, they might discover tomorrow that it can be fixed in a week (great!), but customers are going to be more upset if it takes them another week and then they discover it's a big issue and will take a month to fix (I realize you've already been waiting for months so what's a few more weeks, but others might not see it that way).  Or maybe they figure it's going to require a complete redesign and will take months.  Either way giving the option allows customers flexibility to decide (vs say Cubesim).

I COMPLETELY agree. The offer to provide a refund at this stage is generous and shows genuine concern for their customers. I appreciate that they needed to make a quick judgement call and may not have had enough information yet to offer a clearer assessment of the situation. Rather than create a bunch of disastified customers out the gate, offering an option now is the right move.

I am an early adopter and I already have a functioning set of controls so I'm keen to try it out warts and all, provided it's not DOA  out of the box, or an issue that renders the device unserviceable later. I think I will just ride it out. Going to the back of the line now would be worse than a longer wait. If it is as good of an experience as Sorata says, I want it as fast as they can get me a working product.

Mine arrived Thurday, ahead of schedule! 😃

@Sorata Any issues since they updated SimAppPro last week? Mine seems to work fine but I am geting used to the FSSB concept so I am not sure if what I am experiencing is "correct" or not. Y axis seems damp in the FA-18 with no the stock curve. What curve seems to work best for you?
