Normandy 2 Development Update

 

We are pleased to update you on the development of the upcoming DCS: Normandy 2 map by Ugra Media who created the original Normandy 1944 and Syria maps. This is a massive enhancement to the most important WWII theatre and we are pleased to share Ugra-Media’s impressive progress; it is truly remarkable.

The Normandy 2 map, which is nearing completion, will include free upgrades to the existing Normandy 1944 map. It will also be available as a single, purchasable module. Please note that those of you who already own Normandy 1944 or Channel maps, the Normandy 2 upgrade will be available for only $14.99.

We are excited to announce that this large-scale map of the Normandy region and southeast England will be available soon. Work on debugging and completion is in full swing. This map will include 69 airfields, many new towns and villages, ports, factories, and the capitals of London and Paris.

The Normandy 1944 map will be updated such that it will be compatible with the Normandy 2 map in both single player and multiplayer. This includes the addition of many new and improved fields, cities, and villages that will now become unique and separate territories of France and England.

Other changes include improved buildings and structures, bridges, ports, roads and railways, forests, trees, sea cliffs, and coastlines. All Normandy 1944 map airfields will receive improvements, and their infrastructure and aircraft hangars will become more detailed and authentic. The entire map will receive a refresh to the seasonal changes of spring, summer, and autumn. As part of this free Normandy 1944 update, the five English airfields of Deadland, Friston, Lymington, Odiham, and Stoney Cross will become uniquely modelled. Additionally, 18 new airfields will be added, with 4 in England and 14 in France.

The release of the new Normandy 2 map will also be a huge and free improvement to the Normandy 1944 map. This will allow all Normandy 1944 map owners to have all of the Normandy 2 map airfields at no extra cost. Having the same 69 airfields on both maps will allow players to share the sky in online campaigns and online missions. Ugra Media has done everything possible to remove any borders between the two maps.

The price of the Normandy 2 map is $59.99, but for all users of Normandy 1944 or Channel the new map will be available at a price of $14.99. The map will be available on both our eShop and Steam.

Ugra-Media would like to thank the DCS Forum participants for their passionate interest in the project and for their active participation in the discussions. This feedback helped add the airfields of Orly, Stoney Cross, Lymington, Odiham, Deadland, Friston, Amiens-Glisy, Poix, and Ronai.

Great attention was given to creating unique objects, buildings, and structures for Paris and London that include famous historical monuments. Transport and military infrastructure have also been recreated in detail. We look forward to sharing more information soon.

Ok, la mia nuova scheda video si sta sentendo male in anticipo . Comunque davvero tanta roba, stanno facendo un lavoro eccellente!

Vedere una mappa così bella fa rodere di più perché alla fine abbiamo pochissimi aerei ww2.. Se una 3 parte sviluppasse un asset pack di aerei solo AI lo prenderei al volo!

Bella la mappa, ma adesso basta dedicare tempo e risorse alle mappe. È giunta l'ora che l'organico che si occupa del settore WWII, si dedichi H24 a sistemare in maniera definitiva i velivoli attuali e subito dopo, a lavorare su altri moduli. Parere strettamente personale, che può essere condiviso o meno. Buona domenica a tutti.

Sarebbe ora di vedere anche qualche bombardiere pilotabile, ora non pretendo un B-17, ma qualche bimotore si, tipo Ju-88, B-25, He-111, A-20.... e sono certo che avrebbero anche un ottimo riscontro commerciale.

Lo scrivo pure qui.. Se volete acquistare l'aggiornamento della mappa, lo potete tranquillamente fare ignorando l'avviso che vi avverte che avete già le chiavi per questo prodotto. Dopo aver proceduto al pagamento, vi verrà sbloccata la vista in alta risoluzione della mappa.

Ciao ragazzi avendo già normandy e the channel volevo approfittare dell'offerta e prenderla a 9,99$, ma nella pagina del prodotto mi dice che ho già una chiave di licenza per il prodotto e proseguendo con l'acquisto mi esce anche una finestra pop-up che mi avverte delle stesso, ed anche una scritta lampeggiante. E' un errore o è normale?

La stable da mesi non viene aggiornata, vendono tutto utilizzabile in open beta.

Stavolta per Normandia 2.0, nello shop scrivono che se non c’è nessuna specifica, è utilizzabile nella release version, poi, che un E.A. è utilizzabile sia in open che release.

Compro la mappa, entro nel “gioco” per installarlo, e nelle news che compaiono nella schermata principale scrivono che è disponibile solo in OB.

Bravi. Se scrivevano nello shop che era disponibile solo per OB non la compravo. E come me forse tanti altri.

non uso la stable quindi la mia è una domanda in assoluta trasparenza: al momento di acquistare, appare chiaramente scritto in alto come disclaimer che richiede DCS 2.8.4 o superiore. L'attuale stable non è ancora 2.8.1?

Si, ma devono scrivere corretto anche nelle indicazioni poste sotto, e nella definizione di EA, perché uno non è che debba cercare i 4 posti diversi, dove può usare un modulo.

Spetta però damme una mano, essendo che EA è diverso da openbeta (se mai uscisse un modulo diretto non in EA, uscirà comunque prima in OB per forza di cose, e viceversa è ulteriormente vero e basta pensare ad esempio al Viggen). Per capirci: i moduli EA non sono disponibili solo in openbeta, e viceversa.

Intendo solo dire: esiste una sola via per acquistare il modulo senza trovarsi quel disclaimer davanti? Se sì, è un problema e lo segnalo. Se no, non c'è nulla da segnalare, poichè è un po' come i requisiti minimi. E te lo chiedo perchè io ho provato ma non ho trovato una strada dove non si legga.. ma, ad esempio, non uso steam e sicuramente non ho il quadro completo di tutte le possibili strade.
