Dear all,

Quick question about P47 .. well I très some ‘’dogfight’’ I Knowles itvs ont réalisé Maude for that but I select same cat target or I try to do ! For exemple I use the instant action mission against A8 .

Se we are at around 3500 ft that mean below 7000 where Turbo boost needs to stay off .. but that mean no access to WAR power with water injection without the turbo and fighting is really hard without ..

the question use is standard rules are no turbo below 7000 ft for normal operation

and all is allowed for fighting ??

Tell me how you managed it .. ?? Thanks

Do not follow this advice to keep turbo off under 7000ft.

It is for low octane fuel and not for one in game.

Just keep the engine within its limits, means do not exceed MP above 52inHg without water and 64inHg with water injection for 2700 RPM and you will be fine. And of course watch temperatures.

When operating at high outside temps watch carb air temp, because it may limit your max MP, with water you can use 64inHg but only if carb air temp do not exceed limit.

In combat ready P-47 you can use turbo for take off as well.

Lower grade fuel was used only for training, and with low octane fuel max power setting was something like 42" at 2700rpm and P-47 can pull 46 at deck with out turbo so yes, in that case at low alt no need for turbo use.

But every combat P-47 was using high octane fuel irc.
