simo-dj Posted October 10, 2022 Posted October 10, 2022 Hi everybody and forgive me for this silly question (as usual) As per title i have T16000 and a brand new Orion 2 throttle with F18 levers (very happy 'bout it). I have view direction (head and sight movement) bound to T16000 hat. This solution worked quite well on fast movers (i have Viper and A-10cII modules) but it's very difficult to accurately aim M139 AWS as pilot, since up-down and left-right movements are set as buttons, so it's not possible set curves or other things to aim more accurately. My idea is to bind head movement to the analog lever in front of the throttle but i was totally unable to do this. It seems that in "adjust controls" section view up, down, etc is possible to be mapped only for buttons not to sticks. Any idea on ow to solve this if possible? I searched the forum but wasn't able to find anything. Thanks in advance "If you low&slow you're BBQing, if you hot&fast you're grilling, if you low&fast you're flying an Apache"
MAXsenna Posted October 10, 2022 Posted October 10, 2022 Any reason you can't get a headtracker? There are less expensive solutions than the brand TrackIR. Sent from my MAR-LX1A using Tapatalk

Sent from my MAR-LX1A using Tapatalk Thanks @MAXsenna My budget was completely oriented in an expensive and durable throttle due to bad experience with Thrustmaster TWCS. So, for a while headtracker is not planned 1 "If you low&slow you're BBQing, if you hot&fast you're grilling, if you low&fast you're flying an Apache"

"Changed my life!" https://delanengineering.com/shop/ I checked on amazon some headtracker before putting my whole budget on a throttle, and your kind suggestion is very welcome! I wasn't aware of this producer and i'll take note when the moment of buying an headtracker will show up. Thanks a lot @MAXsenna, but i'm still looking for a small solution for this "problem" 1 "If you low&slow you're BBQing, if you hot&fast you're grilling, if you low&fast you're flying an Apache"
admiki Posted October 11, 2022 Posted October 11, 2022 Even cheaper solution is 3 white LEDs, a resistor or two, USB cable and baseball hat. I presume you already have webcam? 1

I presume you already have webcam? no i don't. while i find myself quite good in diy i am totally stranger to electronic/wielding components/whatever related to electronics. I thinks it's pure magic pushing a button and seeing a pc coming to life... as well as turning a key and starting a car. It sounds strange that almost everything related to DCS it involves spending money (hey @ed team i am joking! Everyday i worhip a stone altar built for you for bringing a badass helo to life ) thanks @admiki, you're always kind and helpful. But wouldn't it be simpler to give the oportunity to bind head movement to an analong stick rather than buttons? Maybe with curves and saturation as well. Maybe this option actually IS in the game, and that's exactly what i'm looking for, but i couldn't find it...
