ACM radar Mode PAL not working

Hello,

 

Before taking off, i asked jester to put radar in TWS auto and when i pressed the PAL button, nothing happens, it seems to back in TWS 0.5s after pressing the PAL button,

 

Any idea ?

You sure you weren't pressing PLM?  The idea with that one is that the pilot holds the button down until a target near the ADL can be found and it locks on.  Otherwise if you let go of the button before getting a lock, it reverts to whatever mode it was in (I think).

And PLM only works to up to 5nm.

If you have sparrow or phoenix selected, when pressing PAL, you will see the target diamond in your HUD sweeping the search pattern from side to side. You also need to be in A/A hud mode ofc.

You can see it in the beginning of this video (and throughout)

Oh I need to check, its the button close to the AIM9 Un cage button on the throttle from the chuck guide. I thought it was the the ACM mode for locking up to 20Nm with a horizontal scan

yeah, that's PLM

PAL is on a left side wall
