Problem with terrain installation

I had deleted two of my installed terrain packs, specifically South Atlantic and Normandy, and now that I want to reinstall the SA map it does not show up in the available list in the module manager. The icon showing the number of available DLC's is correct on the game home page, it shows 8, but only the 6 available planes show up when I open the module manager. Any thoughts on how to get the terrain DL'd again? I would have used windows snip ability to capture the screenshot but it doesn't work in DCS. 🙂

Perhaps you didnt delete the terrains from within the Module Manager itself, but deleted them from windows instead. If they are properly deleted, then they shouldn't appear on this window:

If they are listed, then use the trashcan icon to delete them, afterwards, the next time you go to the Module Manager, you should be offered to install the maps again.

Just press the Print Screen key on your keyboard, then run the paint utility of windows and paste there. Then you can crop and resize it before posting it here.

They don't appear in that window nor do they appear in the list of available DLC to download when you first open the module manager. I deleted them through module manager then deleted the files in windows. First image shows homescreen with 8 items flagged as available for DL. Second image shows that only the aircraft can be DL'd. Third image shows what terrain is currently installed.

Strange, just to be sure, I deleted my SA Map:

restarted DCS, and sure enough, it does offer to install it:

Maybe your hard drive does not have enough space left? This is a pretty large map and perhaps the Module Manager checks space before building the list of available modules?

That's a good thought but I have just under 1TB free on my drive so that's not it. When you deleted yours did you also delete it through windows or just from module manager?

Just from Module Manager. Maybe you should try to install the map from outside DCS? The command is:

dcs_updater.exe install FALKLANDS_terrain

Here are more instructions:

Thanks for all your helpful suggestions. As it turns out I did what I should have done first, which is run the repair utility. That ended up installing both maps for me.

Thanks again!

You probably messed things up when you deleted it via Windows, as DCS got basically broken then.
Just a heads up!

Cheers!
