I am trying to have a recon unit spawn in with a trigger zone, after it spawns in I want to have it stay where I put it til one or more of them get damage then have them retreat fast. I have no problem with the spawn in part but I can't come to grasp with them holding till damage to retreat. Any help is appreciated.

I don't think that is possible.

 

You can have a unit spawn in as result of them taking damage or you can have some other action happen once they reach a certain waypoint, but having the actual unit progress to another waypoint dependant on damage they take isn't possible AFAIK.

The code is probaly in Russian anyway.

I think there was a method to achieve that. If you put the units visible (but not active) you could make a trigger to activate them when damaged (or when your flight enter a trigger zone, don´t remenber if can be damaged while inactive but visible), then you can design the armored group waypoints; for example first waypoint at 1km/h straight and then make them go back at 100 km/h for example. Then it seems that the armored group is fighting back a bit and then retreating. Can´t check it by myself until game box is available though.

Ferski is correct, set up the group as inactive (activation some hours after mission start) but mark them as visible before start. Then add a trigger to activate the group when a unit of the group gets damaged (you have to do this for each unit of the group separately). When you attack the the group, it will be activated and drive away (or do whatever waypoints you have set). Be aware though that AI will not recognize inactive units, so it has to be a player that attacks them.
