Issue with spotting and planes disappearing out of sight at short range.

When I try to dogfight, especially in the f16 against another f16, the opponents plane seems to go out of sight prematurely and I can not re-spot them until it is too late and they are firing. I was wondering if there is a setting I have wrong and if anyone else is having this issue. I have attached a video to further explain what I am describing.

Been covered before. Even though mentioned many times by many people  It doesn’t really happen because…(enter any number of repetitive reasons why you are wrong here).
You will find that this will then be followed by any number of irrelevant posts that will eventually wear you down.
By chance are you in VR? If so, oh boy…..

@SWAR1 do you have wide screen setup? If yes, that would be a common complaint from wide screen users as DCS most probably uses horizontal FOV as a parameter for object visibility.
