Flappie Posted October 29, 2022 Posted October 29, 2022 Hello. You're having the DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE REMOVED kind of crash. It can have various causes. Let's start simple : is your Windows power plan set to the max? ---
SKIPPY 7-7 Posted October 29, 2022 Author Posted October 29, 2022 @Flappie yes it is Heatblur F-14 Tomcat | DCS F/A-18C Hornet | DCS A-10C II Warthog | BelSimTek UH-1H RTX 2080 Super, i7 8700K @ 4.9Ghz, 16gb 2400Mhz DDR4, Asus Z370F, Corsair H115i Pro
Flappie Posted October 29, 2022 Posted October 29, 2022 Enable Debug mode in the NVIDIA control panel (Help > Debug mode) and see if DCS keeps crashing. If so, please attach the resulting dcs.log. ---
lukeXIII Posted October 29, 2022 Posted October 29, 2022 Was having this issue as well, updating graphics driver and repairing dcs world fixed it for me. 1
SKIPPY 7-7 Posted October 30, 2022 Author Posted October 30, 2022 For what it's worth I was able to play for a solid 2.5 hours without problems in a large multiplayer server. Since reporting the crash I've since done the following: Uninstall all mods Delete and rebuild metashaders/fxo foldes Uninstall NVIDIA drivers via DDU and reinstall latest NVIDIA drivers, but not installing GeForce experience Removed GPU over clock confirmed windows power mode is set to ultimate and nvidia control panel gpu power to high performance globally. I'll report back later in the week if I have another crash. 1 Heatblur F-14 Tomcat | DCS F/A-18C Hornet | DCS A-10C II Warthog | BelSimTek UH-1H RTX 2080 Super, i7 8700K @ 4.9Ghz, 16gb 2400Mhz DDR4, Asus Z370F, Corsair H115i Pro
