MPK Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 I am not sure if this should be in the bugs section or if it is intentional .... Can Jester stop calling out speeds and bandit positions after the bandit is killed? I know that jester knows the enemy is dead because he calls it out, yet he keeps calling out the enemy position and my speed for quite a while after the fight is over. For example: "he is behind us" / "he is getting ready to fire" etc as the bandit is heading to the ground in flames. Also, a feature request in the jester menu ... is there a reason for the menu that replaces the BVR menu when a bandit is within visual range? I really hate that menu ... I have never used anything on it (I jettison tanks using the WVR menu, and break lock using the pilot lock on button). At the very least, can this menu please go away when the bandit you are fighting is dead? The first thing I want to do after killing an enemy is reset the radar range / elevation etc but it takes extra effort to navigate to the BVR menu (and even worse, all the options on the BVR menu have moved position). Thank you! 2

The first thing I want to do after killing an enemy is reset the One thing I feel frustrated is, when you have a bandit in close range(within 20 miles), and you ask Jester to lock that target, he will then often lock up another target which is 40 miles away. Jester's ability to priortize targets seems to be not good enough for player, so the User Experience of using Jester is bad sometimes (people is expecting an AI with a certain level, which I know is difficult. similar UX design problem happened when autonomous driving was introduced to the market) I would suggest to have some manual input that we can use before Jester AI being massively improved.

tomcat_driver Posted November 10, 2022 Posted November 10, 2022 (edited) If anything, my suggestion for improvement is to make Jester more adaptable and compatible to VAICOM and Voice Attack. It is really a pain to create a profile for it. I like the menu wheel. I cant dedicate enough time or brain power to DCS these days because of work, to memorize all commands and modules, so its good to have a visual reference. Things like changing menus are a pain, like Menu A press 1 goes to Menu B, but if lets says Bandit is locked, the same press goes to somewhere else. How do you code this in VA without enourmous complexity? Also, giving more keybind assignable commands, shortcuts if I may, would help a lot. Edited November 10, 2022 by tomcat_driver

I used VoiceAttack profile by Bailey and then I added my own commands to his. His profile seem very complicated but it seems it addresses the issue. Also for my commands i always start with pressing A twice. That main Jester menu seem to be standardized in 99% of scenarios https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3308776/ Tau's Youtube channel Twitch channel https://www.twitch.tv/the0tau
MPK Posted November 16, 2022 Author Posted November 16, 2022 Could we get a way to have jester fix / realign INS after landing at a different airbase? This would be especially useful in multiplayer, as right now you have to get a fresh plane every sortie due to INS errors.

Hop in the back to the rio seat by pressing 2 and turn the ins off and realign again. Edited November 16, 2022 by HeavyGun1450
