Roller25 Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 (edited) Anyone else have blocky clouds in the distance regardless of cloud quality settings? I run 100% res on a G2. Is that normal for VR? Edited November 5, 2022 by Roller25 1
Mr_sukebe Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 No, that doesn't sound normal. If you're not already, go look at the OpenXR thread and follow it's guide. It's very well written up. Once you've got that running, try both the fixed foveated rendering and FSR. Worked wonders for my system. 7800x3d, 5080, 64GB, PCIE5 SSD - Oculus Pro - Moza (AB9), Virpil (Alpha, CM3, CM1 and CM2), WW (TOP and CP), TM (MFDs, Pendular Rudder), Tek Creations (F18 panel), Total Controls (Apache MFD), Jetseat

Roller25 Posted November 6, 2022 Author Posted November 6, 2022 Is it maybe graphics card dependent? I'm running an AMD 6800xt.. what card are you guys running? Seem to be differing opinions..
Brainfreeze Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 I am only in VR and do not have blocky clouds. Maybe they seem blocky coming from flat screen? Only blocky clouds I see is a ‘flat’ low layer that some missions have ( like instant action free flight for F16 but also many others). Higher, bulkier clouds are super nice i9 14900K / 64GB / RTX 4090 / Varjo Aero / Winwing Orion2 + F15EX / Virpil Wrbrd + Alpha Stick + ACE pedals
