Knight6 Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 Problem: can not get the right mfd sto accept SOI designation. Situation: I'm running Thrustmaster Warthog Hotas. Long coolie hat left switches to L MFD. UP switched to HUD just like it is supposed to. Long coolie hat right acts like a short coolie hat right and switched pages but will not reassign the SOI. Selecting keyboard "k" has the same problem. I'm following tutorial, watched 5 YouTube videos all say just Long coolie hat right, but it's not working. Any ideas? Thanks! PS, I am a 32 yr military pilot and airline pilot andcwould be happy to answer any questions as "payback" for assistance.

I would first blame your peripheral (the Coolie Hat being unreliable), but as the "k" key pres (long, I suppose) doesn not work, the rest is; a bug, can not test it right now, or your DCS copy is bugged, so try a repair. I finally could find time to test it on my PC and it works ok for me, so I guess you may want a repair or a file Check, or whatever is the STEAM name for it. Saludos. Saca111

After turning on the TGP and selecting A-G the coolie hat long R did nothing. If I selected TGP CONT Pg... then it worked (which the tutorial did NOT say to dOncthace that was done once, then it worked every time even if I switched mfd2 to cdu & back to TGP. Thanks

First, you're talking about the A-10C module (or the A-10C II, which is mostly the same), right? And you're saying that when you display the TGP on the right MFCD and have it in A-G, showing a crosshair, you can't make it SOI by pressing Coolie Hat Right Long? But Coolie Hat Right Short does correctly cycle the right MFCD pages? In that case there's really something wrong, because Coolie Hat Right Long should definitely make the TGP SOI (provided of course that the right MFCD is already displaying the TGP and that the TGP is either in A-G or A-A). Just in case other players come across the same problem, what do you mean by "TGP CONT Pg"? On a side note, do you have kind of a stuck ENTER key? There's like half a million empty lines in both your posts here... Hey, I've got one, just out of personal curiosity. How do you define QNE, i.e. what does QNE mean as far as you're concerned? (And in what part of the world were you brought up as a pilot? I've got a bit of a suspicion that the answer may actually depend on where a pilot was trained...)
