hi there forum!

I noticed that all campaigns in bs except one have a note where it says something like you need winxp and a performant computer to run it (well).

I'm still learning to fly at the time but i wanted to ask anyone who started such a campaign, if you encountered any problems.

thanks :inv:

I play this campaign from time to time and on very crowded maps i see framerate drops to about 20, 15 in severe cases (the game remains surprisingly playable though) . Settings: 1680*1050, vis range medium, textures high, scenes on medium.

System Specs:

C2D 6600@ 2,9GHz

Radeon X1900XTX

2Gb DDR2 6400@950Mhz(?)

Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two.

Ditto here, because of the amount of objects, my frame rates are in the teens, I have seen them drop as low as 9 one time -).

Q6600, 4gigs, xppro, 8800gts 640mb......

Thanks

I have similar issues, but I don't think the problem is what it's rendering.

If I play a mission online with real people I get little to no slow down (at least noticible anyway). I put some AI wingmen in and it turns into a slideshow.

To whom suffering from 10s fps in WinXPpro, you seriously gotta move to Vista.

Why suffer? That XP 9 fps would have been about 23 fps in Vista.

System: Core2Duo E8500, 4G ram, GTX260, SLC SSD, and Vista 32bit. LG W2600HP 26" LCD.

Controls : MSFFB2, CH Pro throttle, Saitek rudder, Saitek throttle quadrant, and TrackIR4

BS Setting : medium with visibility HIGH

More skill you get, more you Love DCS:Black Shark.

I'm Vista's biggest fan, but I'm afraid you can't credit Vista with special Black Shark performance. I'm running Vista (Q6600 @2.4Ghz / 2GB RAM / Geforce 8800 GTX) and also getting FPSs in the teens...and lower.

I'm currently playing with most settings on MEDIUM to see if I prefer smooth play over better looks.

Yeah, teens fps can happen also.

But for now, teens in Vista is slideshow in XP unfortunately.

Really waiting affinity patch for XP users thou I don't think it is possible.

I really love this sim but frankly it makes me frustrated so often when I see stuttering in medium even with my system.
