Chopper A-10 Posted November 22, 2022 Posted November 22, 2022 In the Hornet can you change the time that when are dropping laser guided bombs in AUTO Mode that the laser goes active soon. In lower altitude bombing it seems to come on so late that it doesn't have time to adjust to the target. When I control the laser using the trigger button it always works and I hit the target . . . just not in AUTO. It's been awhile but I thought I always used to change the A-10 time. Low level Paveway II profiles are perfectly possible. They are described on official Paveway datasheets, and you can find practical advice here. However, as noted above auto lase is not recommended due to uncertainties regarding weapon's time of flight. A continuous manual lasing is therefore recommended.
