Razor18 Posted November 22, 2022 Posted November 22, 2022 (edited) Hi Gents, pretty much every document about CV operation talks about joining the overhead stack at squadron preassigned altitudes, but then it talks about always the lowest aircrafts/squadrons in the stack commencing, then everyone above coming down one level and continue commencing by visually following the flow and commence to be on deck in a timely interval. But what can a "late aircraft or flight" do, if by the time he arrives, the stack already begun to collapse, and his squadron is already some levels lower than the original join altitude? Especially if it all happens zip lip? Anyone to clarify? Edited November 22, 2022 by Razor18
norman99 Posted November 22, 2022 Posted November 22, 2022 (edited) Firstly, don't be late! But, if you are, you go to the top of the stack and wait your turn, following everyone else down. You should already have a good idea of who is recovering on your event, and therefore know who is supposed to be where. Using the radar/datalink/hmd/visual lookout, you can determine where the current top of the stack is. Edited November 22, 2022 by norman99
