After MIP installation, AMPCD & HUD no longer clear

Recommended Posts

Hi, I've finished setting up my MIP, and whilst everything works, the AMPCD & the HUD are now noticeably less clear, almost like they are being displayed at the wrong resolution. You can compare this in the screenshot below, with the HSI on the left DDI and on the AMPCD.

My screen setup is also displayed below. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Not clear or not bright enough?

The MIP does not interfere with anything on your main screen

Not clear. If you compare the two HSI's in the first image above, you can see there is a problem with the image quality being exported from DCS for the 3rd MFD. It also affects the HUD & the HMD quality

Sorry but I think you have other issues. I've been exporting in dcs for years with absolutely no effect with the main monitor quality.

I have the Top Gun MIP and have no visual issue at all

I did a clean & repair of my DCS installation, and it fixed the problem.

I guess somewhere along the line, some of the data in the .lua files that control MFD/HUD rendering had been changed.

See now you already know 😂

Had the same problem, it's because you altered some lua's, like labels or something else...

Use the repair function of dcs, after the repair, my hud was back to normal. But be aware of all the skins and mods you added, you will lose them, but you have the ability to back them up in repair.

If skins and mods are in your saved games folder, a clean or repair will not affect them.
