Why does the kneepad time and in-plane time never match?

I'm flying in Liberation with the A-10C II and the F-16 and on the kneepad, the in-plane times never match up with the kneepad times for, say, takeoff, or join or anything.  So I really never know if I'm actually flying with my escort or they're waiting back at the airport because the time difference between kneepad and in-plane.

In plane shows zulu time. F10 map for example shows local time. Be aware of the timezones

So, how do you make them match?

Fly on the channel map.

Manually enter local time using either the hack line on the time ded or you overwrite the zulu time with local time on the time ded

 

or some quick maths in your head
