Powering on CMWS

Did something change lately on how to power up the CMWS from cold and dark?

 

I did a cold start yesterday (after not really sitting in the cockpit for a few weeks) and I switched on the Power/Test knob on the CMWS control panel, at the same point where I usually did this (just after spooling up both engines). But the thing didn't switch on.

Tried the startup procedure 3 times with same result.

 

(Sorry, not at my PC right now to post track file, but perhaps someone can already tell me something changed)

I‘m on latest OB and did last fire it up two days ago. Worked as it should….I even have keybinded the knobs to my streamdecks, and no problems with.

Have you keybinded or used the mouse?

I use Pointctrl (so yeah, mouse)

I'll try again as soon as life lets me and post a track file

So, I just tried again.

This time I saved the track file

 

I know I'm doing a Rambo style startup here (definitely not all by the book ), but before telling me to stick to the full procedure, I'm a 100% sure this used to work. (crank the engine and just flip the Power/Test knob)

I'm pretty sure that in either of the latest two OB updates, something changed in regard to CMWS startup. Is something else needed now to get power to the CMWS?

Do you activate RWLR on ASE - UTIL page?……just thinking

Not sure what you are seeing on your end, but when I replay your track, everything seems to work fine.

Are you not seeing the display light up?  Maybe a messed up .lua file in the displays folder?

Are you able to launch chaff/flares, even though the display is dead?

That's correct, my CMWS display stays blank/black 

I am indeed able to pop flares and chaff, I also hear betty do radar callouts

 

hmmm... I never touched any lua file 

I'll do a repair tomorrow and try again. Thanks for checking and for the heads up!

I never had to do that before and my CMWS always worked just fine (perhaps before the latest OB updates RWLR got activated by default). Anyway, activating RWLR or not, it doesn't change my CMWS control panel display. That stays blank

I believe RWLR and CMWS should be independent from each other…RWLR is off be default….I was just thinking, as I always first activate RWLR and then CMWS when I run my startup procedures…

Just did a quick repair and that was sufficient. CMWS display shows up again now.

 

I should have tried repair before creating this thread, sorry
