Trying to fly the F-5 for the first time after 2.8 update I'm finding that the ministick axis on my CH throttle has been reset to pitch/roll rather than TDC control. Trying to rebind it for TDC slew I get a message "no command available for this device."

Forget about my previous message, I don't know how I got this issue but it's now gone, and it was not that much related to your issue.

I believe you tried to assign your throttle axis to a mouse-only TDC control. Can you please confirm?

That is correct. Could have sworn I had the ministick mapped as a pair of TDC slew axes previously.  I certainly did not have it bound as pitch/roll. And I don't see any other TDC slew axis controls in the is module.

I run mapping software that causes my ministick to output some virtual button presses when moved more than 1/2 way in each of the four directions. Possibly I was using that previously, binding those virtual buttons to the TDC up/down/right/left controls. However nothing appeared to be bound to those controls when I checked after experiencing the problem.

Same here. I tried to add axis control for TDC by modifying the default.lua file in the joystick folder here (C:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\F-5E\Input\F-5E\joystick) with

{action = iCommandPlaneSelecterHorizontalAbs, name = _('HOTAS Slew Horizontal')},
{action = iCommandPlaneSelecterVerticalAbs	, name = _('HOTAS Slew Vertical')},

but that does not work.

Any clues/suggestions would be appreciated.
