When playing DCS, initially it works fine. Then after a period of time, MP servers no longer appear. This is the only hint that something has gone wrong. After about ten minutes (of playing either SP or MP) the game force closes and says my login session has expired. I've tried a clean install without add-ons. I've tried a repair. This issue started about two months ago when a lot of people were getting an error that says their account was logged in from another machine. My sim seems to never have really recovered from that and it went from that issue to the login has expired force quit. I would appreciate any help on the matter. Thank you in advance.

Hi. This might be caused by a wrong date/time on your Windows system, or network packets being dropped.

Please reproduce the issue then attach your dcs.log file (from Saved Games/DCS.../Logs).

Hi.

I am encountering this issue and am kicked out of the game regularly after some time (~60min) with the same message "login session has expired".

First i received this message only after joining a multiplayer server in the MULTITHREADED DCS version, when the multithreaded version was introduced.

Now, since the last update "DCS 2.8.8.43489 Open Beta"? I also receive this message in the SINGLETHREADED version of DCS.

The only solution for me is to disconnect from the internet (turning off w-lan) and starting DCS in OFFLINE mode.

NOTE: Around that time i also installed DCS Open Beta on another computer and am using the same account on both computers. (Have this issue on both computers)

I really would appreciate if we could resolve this issue, would like to play online again...

Thank you in advance!

Hi, your log does not show you being kicked out of a server. It's only showing you starting DCS.

Start  by rebooting your internet router. If this does not solve your problem, here are the common causes for this issue:

  1. Your router external IP address is changed by your ISP during your game session. You can find out by checking your external IP address when you start your MP session, then checking again once you're disconnected. If that's what happens to you every time, you can try and ask your ISP for a static IP address.
  2. Some routers need you to activate QoS (Quality of Service). What is your internet router model?
  3. Some users reported that using a router behind another router would cause this issue. How many routers do you have?

Hi, thank you for the response!

1) It seems that my router external IP changes frequently, at least before the start af a DCS session the IP adress differs from after I have been kicked out of the game.

2) My router is this:

INNBOXV60-U

HGW Universal POTS DECT AC

SBB2277HO V2.1

3) I have only 1 router.

I have the same provider and router for 2 years now and never encountered this issue earlier, why am i kicked out of a session regularly now?

Why am i kicked out of a singleplayer session just because the router external IP has chenged? I would understand if it would kick me out of an online session.

I have no issues playing other games offlne or online, but DCS is making troubles?

The change of the router external IP should have no impact while playing singleplayer missions, or do I missunderstand somethig here?

Are there other options except paying extra for a static IP?

Thank you in advance!

You're welcome.

No idea why it would do this in a singleplayer session, indeed. Maybe it has to do with the copy-protection?

Anyway, there is another possibility: are you using a VPN? If so, disable it before playing, and see if it helps.

If you're attempting to run DCS on the same account on more than one of those 4 (exception being a server) at the same time, then that's what your problem is.  Only time I've seen that is when I'm editing a mission on my laptop and I throw it over onto my gaming computer to run it and don't shut it down on my laptop.  Laptop gets booted when I load up DCS on the gaming computer.
