El_Pilot Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 Hello, I would like help with a dilemma that I can't solve. It concerns the most functional way to connect a VIRPIL Control Panel #3 (SharKa-50)... Installing it as: Option 1 - configurable as a separate device? or Option 2 - to be configured as "Slave", connected to a Throttle CM3 device? Option 1 has the advantage that you have 128 x 2 = 256 buttons. A disadvantage could be that one must have sufficient connection points on the computer, but that can perhaps be overcome with a good Hub? Does anyone have experiences using these two devices and what are their preferences over time? I would be grateful if they would share their experiences. Sincerely, El. P.s. I hope to ask this question in the right way and in the right section. Sorry if it’s wrong…
speed-of-heat Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 i would connect them separately as you will max out the total number of axis and/or buttons you can have in windows game controllers 2 SYSTEM SPECS: Hardware AMD 9800X3D, 64Gb RAM, 4090 FE, Virpil T50CM3 Throttle, WinWIng Orion 2 & F-16EX + MFG Crosswinds V2, Varjo Aero SOFTWARE: Microsoft Windows 11, VoiceAttack & VAICOM PRO YOUTUBE CHANNEL: @speed-of-heat
Scott-S6 Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 If you're not short of ports then connect them separately. If you are short of ports then it's time to get a good powered hub or a PCI USB card (you'll be connecting more devices - my pit currently has 2x10 port hubs and they're almost full...) 2
